I swear to god I'm going to punch who ever came up with lol, it is the most fucked up evasion of dialogue, if a conversation is getting stale then just change the subject. I hate when people reply with just "lol" it's almost as bad as when your on the phone and the person on the other end said "hey, look at that!" I'm on the phone not in the room you jack ass.

I have to admit I still use the "LOL" thing without even thinking, and I hate it too...I have made a commitment to never type it again.....EVER! I have this Verizon welcome pack from when I got dsl (stands for Digital Subscriber Line...speaking of a fucking acronym)...they have two full pages in the back with chat acronyms and their definition. Even have a friend that will use them in verbal conversation. Makes me want to put a bullet in his hip/slick/cool/cutting edge/ head and he's one of these preppie little do-gooders that gently ties his sweater arms around his neck when it's a bit nippy outside. I work at a place that loves acronyms too, the same type of corporate pukes that come up with Buzzwords or Power Phrases like "let's dive deep on this one", etc ... "WTF!!!". I'm not bitter as much as frustrated. I hate it when other people do it....then I'll be damned, I'll catch myself doing it at times, usually when I'm trying to be clever or humorous. So, I'll keep bitching about other people doing it and try to stop doing it myself. This is a good topic and I now need a beer!!
