</a>
										<div>My dog Zelly is in need of a caring person or persons to give her a home filled with love and she needs someone who will play with her and take her for walks and did I mention, lots of love!

Cheryl has found an apartment and cannot have animals. I cannot have animals where I live due to Katie's severe allergies. If there were any way for me to take her, I absolutely would. It breaks my heart to have to see her leave the only people she has known.

That is why I am really hoping to find her a home where she will feel comfortable and will be loved and taken care of.

She is a yellow lab and she is going on 8 years old. She is a friendly dog, and many of you have seen her with me at events. Even if she is not for you or your family, maybe you might know of a good home where she would feel welcomed and loved.

This has to happen by the weekend or I don't know what is going to happen to her. :(

PM me, or call my cell.
Thanks.

Life Update...

<div>For those of you who already know, this won’t come as a surprise, but for the rest of you…I am sorry that you are hearing it here, on a blog.

After almost 20 years together, Cheryl and I are no longer a couple. There are so many reasons that led up to this, but we hadn’t been happy for the last couple of years. In December, I made the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life so far, and I decided to leave.

I know that many of you knew us together and were both of our friends. You still should be. In fact, if you truly are a friend, it won’t matter what the circumstances are, you should just support us and love us, in whatever we do.

I am finding that this is a time when you really see who your true friends are. Some have been a great disappointment to me. But I am the same person that everyone has got to know for all of these years. I just couldn’t go on living the way I was living, anymore. I didn’t share my bad marriage story with any of you, because I don’t feel the need to project negativity onto others. When you would see me out at an event, I was escaping that negativity and putting on a brave face and releasing all of my stress on the dance floor.

So…for those of you who have written and I haven’t got back to you yet, I truly apologize. I have just been going through the biggest transition of my life and it still has a way to go before it starts to look like a life again, for me.

Just thought it was time to let others know.

p.s. I won't be allowing any comments on this blog. I will only answer personal messages. This just seems prudent. Thanks.

Storybook Land revisited...

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/cheshyre/blog/6fb7175a-2be9-4df8-89cd-16cc32b0101f">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/b7c/bde/b7cbde0e-e693-4417-96ca-e79b21b735f8.thumb" width="65" height="44" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I just woke up from the strangest dream. It was about a place that my mom used to take me when I was just a wee lad. It was called Storybook Land.

I was born in Somers Point, New Jersey. We lived about 3 miles from Atlantic City. This was before the casinos were installed on the Boardwalk. I actually learned to roller skate on the Boardwalk…

We moved out to Los Angeles when I was 5 years old, in the summer of 1971, but one of my most vivid, fond memories of my preschool days was our annual trip to Storybook Land.

There were all kinds of rides and themes, geared towards children. Everything from the 3 Little Pigs, to Alice in Wonderland, to Cinderella…I remember the scariest thing of the park was a Robber, that would stop the train that circled the park and “rob” it. I don’t remember the details, but for a toddler, it was quite scary…and from a different time.

I haven’t thought about Storybook Land for at least 30 some years, but for some reason, my subconscious decided to revisit it, this morning.

I dreamed that we *I have no idea who was with me* were back east and were revisiting all of the places where we had lived. As we got close to where Storybook Land was located, I was informed that it had closed a few years ago and was being leveled to make room for a strip mall.

We stopped at the property and there was an information booth that was giving out maps with the grids marked out as to what stores would be where. For some reason, I happened to be standing on section +2,-2. I looked on the map and there was going to be a Taco Bandito on that spot. I wondered if there was any correlation between the robber of the train and the restaurant and was so saddened by the loss of such a magical place for children…then I woke up.

I went online to see if my dream had become a reality; if Storybook Land was still there….and it IS! http://storybookland.com/parkmap.htm

It has been owned by the same family for 52 years and it looks like it is doing just fine…

Dreams are so bizarre…this one let me remember something magical from my childhood. I am glad it was not leveled to create a strip mall.

Here is a thought that has been running through my head for some time:

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/cheshyre/blog/0176e0fc-29df-45d4-b9b0-46a21a5b2bfd">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/4c8/014/4c801421-5f4e-4162-bfd3-1692ed223524.thumb" width="65" height="52" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>Automobiles have a suspension. A part of that suspension is a shock absorber. What does a shock absorber do?

*From Wikipedia*: A shock absorber in common parlance (or damper in technical use) is a mechanical device designed to smooth out or damp a sudden shock impulse and dissipate kinetic energy. It is analogous to a resistor in an electric RLC circuit.

It dissipates kinetic energy. Ok, what is kinetic energy?

*Again from Wikipedia*: The kinetic energy of an object is the extra energy which it possesses due to its motion.

If watches and flashlights can be powered by kinetic energy, why couldn’t we harness this energy that is being generated by the constant “shock” of the road on our vehicles and store it for utilization for additional power?

It may not be enough power to totally drive the vehicle, but in conjuntion with other power sources, it could help.

Another form of energy could be wind generated. Set up fans or turbine intakes in the front of the vehicle and as it drives down the road. And set them up in the cabin as exhaust fans *primarily in the summer* and ta-da free energy.

And what about the energy that the wheels generate. Just like a bike headlight is powered by the turning wheel, why not incorporate that, too…

I just watched a really cool show on the Science Channel and it got my wheels turning! *pun intended*

**After writing this, I went to find a picture of an electromagnetic shock and what do ya know…someone else had same thought and did something about it! http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Power-Generating_Shock_Absorber#Official_Website

The F Word on IFC

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/cheshyre/blog/55d886e8-3f33-4709-88af-f21645518df3">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/0db/793/0db7930b-06d6-4740-9c1f-9a51a410a2e0.thumb" width="65" height="62" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I stumbled upon this today, while sitting here with nothing but time on my hands...

The F Word

Jed Weintrob's second feature film, is a fiction/documentary hybrid about Joe Pace, a radio talk show host whose program, The F Word, is being shut down by the F.C.C. after racking up over $1 million in unpaid indecency fines. On his last day on the air, which coincides with the last day of the Republican National Convention, Joe sets off to broadcast his own one-man march through Manhattan.
Combining fictional scenes set among actual protests with documentary footage of people Joe meets along the way, Weintrob weaves together a seamless narrative. It's often impossible to tell the difference between fiction and reality.

Josh Hamilton stars along with Edoardo Ballerini, Zak Orth, Sam Rockwell, Callie Thorne and others, including many leaders of the protest movement: Reverend Billy, Peter Camejo, John Perry Barlow, etc. The F Word is a true, guerilla-style indie(non-profit, blood, sweat and tears), offering an innovative political portrait of 21st century New York City and the current threat to free speech in America.

Here are the play dates on IFC for this: http://ifc.bside.com/schedule/?_view=_filmdetails&amp;_template=ifc&amp;filmId=4752560&amp;timezone=America/New_York

										<div>Tonight I was outside, looking through my telescope at the bright-ass planets and the moon in the night sky. The moon looked incredible, with some great contrast.

Then I moved to the bright, shiny planet that was to the right of the moon in the western sky. As I zoomed in, I actually saw the rings of Saturn!!! What a thrill!

I then panned south and looked at the other brightest object in the sky. I could see 4 moons in a line around it. I showed them to Cheryl and then came in to find out what planet had 4 moons. I originally thought that it was Venus, but Venus doesn't show until morning, nor does it have moons. I came in and pulled up what was I was looking at @ "Starry Night, online* http://www.space.com and found out that it is Jupiter! It actually has 7 moons, but I could only see four of them.

I have always been a night sky watching fool, so having a good telescope has really been giving me some joy! Best yard sale purchase I ever made!! Now I am going to have to buy more powerful lenses. I wanna see more!!!

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/cheshyre/blog/87cc85ff-8fc7-430c-a228-4cbe345f955f">  						          <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/0ac/a6e/0aca6eb5-b67e-494d-a718-6c2f206b9c16.thumb" width="58" height="78" alt="" />
    </a>
										<div>I am truly amazed at how the peaks and valleys of life can either be a hindrance or a blessing.

It is all about perspective. I am learning to step back and instead of trying to force my will on the outcome, to just stop…breath deeply and concentrate on peace and love.

It seems like the Universe is in sync with this, as all of the peaks and valleys are becoming more like rolling hills…with small obstacles that are not preventing the forward movement of my soul…

This movement seems to not only residing with me. It is as if the fog that has been hovering over our entire planet’s evolution is being lifted and everyone that I have talked with has been feeling the same way. They are starting to awaken, as if in a deep slumber. After a very rough winter, they are moving forward, again.

There are some who believe that because we are human beings, that we are in denial and in dualistic traps that are holding us back, but if they would step out of the box and look at what is really occurring, they would see that we ARE ready to take the next step forward. If questioning the status quo, and acknowledging of our fears is letting us see who and what we are, and what we would like to see change in our lives to better enrich them, then I see hope for our future. The first step to overcoming any obstacle is to first identify it. Eyes are opening. We are no longer content to be sheep in the pasture...We are waking up.

Without darkness, we could not see the light. We may see light without it, but its value wouldn’t be as recognizable or precious to us. If we learn and grow from the dark times, and keep Love at the forefront of our thoughts, a future with Love and mutual support as its guide can become a Utopia for mankind.

No, it is not going to happen overnight…it is a process of evolution. Otherwise, it would be a shift, like a light switch. I don’t believe that this is the way it will occur. Everyone is at a different stage in their evolution. It may come to a point where a shift does occur, when enough lives are enlightened, but even then, we will still be growing and evolving towards the next stage…it never stops, but continues to move forward…evolving.

If this last weekend’s event that I attended is any indication of the future to come, we are very much back on track again to the way of light and happiness…to see so many smiling faces having fun for an ENTIRE event and through to the next evening, following it, was so rewarding and welcome! Connections were made, energy shared and love abounded…the very reason I fell in love with this community in the first place. I have missed that, so very much!

There are so many ways to go with the evolutionary process, but this one is working for me at this time…

=)

    </a>
										<div>In Iraq, car bombs are exploding and killing the innocent.
Training and recruitment for suicide runs continue.
Homes and communities are in ruin, families are being blown apart.
Schools in session are the fallout of rocket shrapnel and children continue to suffer.
Clean water and food is hard to find.
Depression and Opression are on an all time high.

Today's news gives 20 seconds of recognition for today's death count and the horror of Iraq's nightmare.
Today's news gives 5 minutes to the Father of Anna Nichole's baby.
Today's news give an entire segment to Martha Stewart.
Sangia's performance on American Idol makes the top headline on Yahoo

744,000 people are homeless...not in Iraq, but in America.
37 million people *1 in 8* are living in poverty in America.

$407,324,498,599 is the cost, as of the second that I cut and pasted this, of the war. Go to: http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_wrapper&amp;Itemid=182 and see something that will truly make you sick. It is ticking at about a $1000 per every half second...

There are 301,586,374 U.S. citizens.

$407,324,498,599 divided by 301,586,374 U.S. citizens, would make everyone in this country incredibly rich beyond their wildest dreams...you do the math...

Instead, the rest of us, not just those who are homeless, continue to struggle to make ends meet. And two countries *Iraq and the U.S.* that didn't ask for any of this are being torn to shreds as the "War on Terror" continues.

Makes you go hmm...</div>

										<div>To all of my 1derful friends,

This last weekend, I attended my first non-psytrance party *where no psy was played*, in over a year. I reunited with friends and family that I have not seen in quite some time. I had forgotten what beautiful souls you are and I didn’t realize how much I missed you, until I was in your presence. Thank you for so much for your love and warmth…it makes me all fuzzy and glowing, inside!

My body also remembered how to dance, as opposed to stomping! =) It felt so good to kick it with all of you who where there. There were so many others that I missed though and I want this year to be a year where we all reconnect. Jon and Emmy did a great job of trying to accomplish this and for that, I thank them both.

Thank you again Jon for taking the extra effort and sending me a personal invite. I get many invites to attend a lot of events, but the personal touch of love, is what called me to step out of my routine. Thank you, my brother!

Much love!

										<div>Here is a copy of a letter I just wrote to the Sci-Fi Channel. We just get done watching Stargate SG-1 and it is followed by ECW Wrestling....What in the Fuck are these people thinking???? Then they are following it with another well wrote show, Battlestar Galactica...

We are pissed that they think that sci-fi fans would like this garbage.

"My wife and I have been avid watchers of the sci-fi channel since it's inception. We have truly enjoyed the original programs, as well as the old re-runs.

We consider ourselves to be intelligent people, as are those of our friends who also watch your channel.

Why would you think that we would like to watch play-acting, wrestling? What does the ECW have to do with sci-fi? We are personally insulted that you would lump this genre, that caters to simple-minded people, on a channel that is for sci-fi fans?

You are airing a highly intelligent series, SG-1, followed by this garbage, then followed by Battlestar Galactica, another highly intelligent show????

I guess I should thank you, because we just changed the channel and found a very good documentary to watch, instead.

Please reconsider this garbage. It is an insult to intelligent people.

    </a>
										<div>For those of you who have it....you know why I am excited to discover it. For those of you who don't.....http://www.electricsheep.org/

It is a screen saver program that is developed by thousands of different codes, that are submitted by the users of the program, that combine together to create the most beautiful visuals I have ever witnessed. For those of you who know me and my love for visuals, you know that there must be something, there, as I have observed some of the best visual creations in the world, and can say that I was blown away...

The screen mesmerizes you, by what is produced and what it morphs into, and the complexity and beauty of it the patterns.

Here, again, is the link for you to download it. The key is to pull up the display settings on your computer and keep the window that has the screensaver settings on it. Decrease the waiting time until it starts to 1 minute, then hit the "Preview" button and don't touch or bump your mouse or keyboard. The patterns will slowly start to download and after leaving it run for a bit, the patterns start changing and morphing and yeah.......wow...the longer you keep it on *by just not closing the preview window*, the more patterns emerge.

http://www.electricsheep.org/

I can guarantee, that any journey of the mind that I take at home, from here on out, I will be incorporating electric sheep into my itinerary/ It really does give the same effect as the most incredible journey to the inner mind, in producing visuals that seem to come from a different dimension....

It is seriously, one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced...
enjoy!

Yeah...put down your guns, grenades, strapped on bombs, hate of everyone who doesn't believe what you believe and be at peace on this Oh...So "Religious" of Holidays. Feel the love....

What about the rest of the year???

I feel so warm and fuzzy inside that the WORLD LEADERS are giving the killing of sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles a day off.

How very noble of them.

They really could have gone the extra mile and given a 4 day weekend.

    </a>
										<div>To those who know what my mother has gone through in the last year with her liver disease, I thought that I should write and ask for your continuing thoughts and meditations…

Yesterday, she went in to have a checkup. As she exited the doctor’s office and went to get into her car, she started to have a mild heart attack. She was able to make it back inside and they immediately transported her to our local hospital *2 minutes away*.

They were able to get her stable, but transported her down to St. Vincent’s in Portland for more testing. As of right now, she is undergoing a procedure to implant a stint. *I am not sure where yet. I am supposed to call back in about an hour*.

Being the woman that she is, her main concern was not being able to have our son stay with her this weekend. They were going to decorate her Christmas tree and bake cookies…and she was worried about ruining our holidays…that is just the kind of mom/grandma that she is….always thinking of others…

I just want her to get through this. She has been through so….much.

On another lovely note, since she is getting assistance to pay for her medical expenses, the government looks at it as income and has reduced her food stamps to $0.00…That is how this country takes care of it’s elderly…They wanted her to sell her car, cash in her life insurance policy and sell her mobile home before they would offer her assistance…nice huh? It is just not right!

I am going to set up a paypal account for her and see if maybe there is a financial angel out there that can help. I mean, if there are those that can spend thousands for a shopping trip, maybe they can help a woman eat and pay her bills for a few months….

I will update this when I find out more…..

I love you all and I thank you for your continued positive energies…

										<div>To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of little children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate the beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch… to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived…

This is to have succeeded.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

**I read this tonight on a friends blog...this is what I want to be when I grow up...a success!!!**

										<div>I just got through reading the Da Vinci Code, and man...I couldn't put it down! *I just started reading it, last night!*

It really gives the reader something to think about, while giving information on the origins of many things that we take for granted...I like the fact how it cross referenced some of the information that was given on one of my earlier blog links: The Pharmacratic Inquisition!

It really does make you go, hmm.....plus, it is a kick-ass adventure/mystery!

I highly recommend this book! </div>

My first Desert Stomp!

    </a>
										<div>Last weekend, I got to experience my first desert event! It took place in the Mohave Desert! It was something that I will remember for the rest of my life.

We arrived a day early and while everyone else slept, I took a good 7 mile hike into Clint Eastwoods spaghetti western realm, and took an inventory of my life and what needed tweeking and what didn’t. It was a great place for self-discovery, for there was nothing to interfere with my thoughts, except the wind and the sagebrush...

The weather was something out of the Twilight Zone, on the way to the site. We encountered snow, hail and of course, rain...When we arrived though, it was like a 10 mile zone of high pressure and although there were storms all around us, the skies above were filled with puffy white clouds like you would see on a nice summer day. It rained for about an hour on us, during the night, but didn’t put a damper on anyone. I went and grabbed my umbrella and continued to dance! =)

Too cold for snakes and creepy crawlers, but jack rabbits in abundance…the ground was made up of granulated granite, with crystals everywhere. I actually found a crystal the size of a bowling ball. Unfortunately we buried it at the apex of our xlr8r fire pit and forgot it…*gonna have to go back!*

The wind howled from the moment we arrived…*BRRR*, but the sunsets *I got to witness two of them while we were there* were magnificent! And as the daylight turned to twilight and then darkness…the STARS appeared. Those of you who have been to Burning Man probably know what I am talking about, but all I kept saying is “WOW”. The night skies in the Northwest woods are incredible, but nothing compared to the desert!

The music then started and with the xlr8ed fire blazing, and the blacklit background, it felt like we were dancing on the landing pad for the Mothership! All night long, the music kept the energy flowing perfectly and when the darkness started to fade and the morning skies grew brighter, many of us went up to the higher hills and watched one of the most awesome sunrises I have ever had the honor to witness *and I have witnessed many!*

I brought my reclining lawn chair and an umbrella *to block some of the wind* and watched from above, for hours; the laughter, dancing and people interacting…when I had my fill, I went down to dance some more in the daylight and then talked with many of the new friends I had made…

Truly an experience of a lifetime…I would recommend it for anyone!

Next time will be the Black Rock Desert, this summer!! Oh Yeah…

										<div>Today, I felt the first caresses of Spring…

There is nothing quite like the Power of Spring to make you realize that you are ALIVE!

I stood forever next to the large Honeysuckle next to our deck and watched all of the different life forms come to feed and cross-pollinate her. Honeybees, Bumblebees, Flies, Mosquitoes *yuck*, and Wasp. It was amazing…a busy, busy world, teeming with life.

I put the leash on our Yellow Lab, Zelly, and went for a walk, 10 houses down, to the Park *A 3 ½ mile lake, surrounded by hundred year old trees.* The wind buffeted me and forced Cherry Blossoms into my body….the wind was warm…and Zelly was so… happy to get out of the house…

Buds coming up and out…everywhere…so peaceful…so powerful…

The power that Nature emanates as she awakens from her slumber is truly an experience that I am glad that I had the blessing to experience…

And YES!!! I AM ALIVE!!!

And GROWING AGAIN!

Oh...and one other little tiny teensy blessing....MY MAMA'S TEST CAME BACK ON HER LIVER AND ALL OF HER LEVELS ARE NORMAL!!!! SHE IS NOT DYING ANYMORE!!!! YAY!!! *cartwheels and backflips abounding*

Yeah...and there is that.

A good day? I'm thinkin', YES!
