Cat and mouse
My cat loves bringing mice into the house and letting them free there.
Last night he did that again. The mouse could hide, I knew where, but couldn't reach it. With cheese I tried to entice the mouse to come into the open and hoped, the cat, who was in the room, would then catch it. Really, soon someone came to eat the cheese, but that someone was the cat!

Yesterday I was swimming for the first time this summer. Unfortunately I couldn't reach all of my back, when I was spreading sun cream. I was in the sun for about five hours except for the time when I was in the water. And even while I was swimming the sun burnt on my back. The result of it was, that most of my back is pretty red now.

Tonight there was a broadcast on Swiss radio about debating. This art is not widely known here, unlike Great Britain. It's already 25 years since I was Foreign Language Assistant at the Perth College of Further Education and at Perth Grammar School. I confess I had then a favourite pupil, and she was member of the Grammar School's teams of Debating and Public Speaking. Lilys like those have opened in my garden. This picture was made five years ago. Then I had 15 flowers, this year there are only 4, but still from the same bulb. Now they are open, but since it has been raining many days, the fringes are brown.
