Professional Dreamer. Free spirited, gypsified philosopher and star-gazer, ambitious dreamer, dancer, choreographer, vendor and creator of interesting art, jewelry, theater (or, at least I hope it's interesting). Here for the bigger picture, interested in the creativity of others, bringing people together in celebration, and the whole spiritual, experimental, insane bubble called Life.
I am currently the director of two companies...Dedicated to the darker, and lighter dreams of most thinking carbon light forms in New York City and beyond. ChoveXani dance and theater company was the first to bring gothic bellydance venues to New York, in the form of Urban Oasis Dance Company, then Shadows of the Harem. Our goal is to create unique and unorthodox ways of viewing ethnic dance, with a slightly dark twist.....our upcoming production is the zenith of all of this madness: happening in September 2006: Night of 1000 Goddesses.
Morrigan Productions is the art/artist/events productions and PR house that came out of those initial events planning stages. Our goal is to create interesting events for dreamers....

Zan is one of my inspirations. She shows me the possibilities that are there in dance if you just open up your creative centers and let fly with the imagination. Oh yeah, combine with that lotsa hard work, blood, sweat and maybe tears. But it's all worth it. Look at what she has done in the NYC community and In turn those beyond. I love ya, Zan!

Beautiful Zan! Her dedication and enthusiasm to the art of experimental and fusion bellydance has brought new energy to the East Coast scene. She and her troupe hold great events! She is also a vision when she dances with her double veils, as well as with Chovexani. All hail Zan!

Zan likes beets.
Though we haven’t yet met (hopefully some day), Zan is a witty, creative, innovative, and organized person, who (from all reports) throws an amazing dance party/evening of entertainment. Plus, she puts up with my sarcasm!
It’s my hope that we can collaborate on some project of some sort some day.
Did I mention that Zan likes beets?

Yikes.....deep, deep apologies, folks. I tried to up the deadline to avoid the apparently unavoidable. I knew that I would have to teach two workshops this week...and the FLOOD of videos and live auditions this year completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) bowled me over into workshop overlap!
