what i find irresistible
about chrishna
is his EYES.
sure, you could say "they're beautiful"
yet that, like so many of his admirable traits,
would just be skimming the surface.
initially - it's the intensity
the intelligence
the playfulness
the deeper truths reflected
(if not outright broadcast).
at times i've seen
hints of cunning
- certainly pools of brilliance -
yet both qualities tempered by
a deep and abiding compassion
for the human condition.
could they also have hinted at
a touch of madness?
(probably when concocting certain plans)
a flash of smug knowing?
(of one who's trekked that path
and awaits for your arrival to your own answer)
those astute and perceptive eyes!
you can peer into his generous heart
but only glimpse the depth of his soul
and still never reach an end.
and that's only what i've gleaned
after knowing him for several weeks!

When using the astrological excuse, Christian defines Gemini to me. He can, practically simultaneously, push my buttons and make me laugh until I explode with endorphins - he is on the very short list of people who have made me laugh that hard. He's king of the pun and a brilliant wit, one of those people who can whip out a comeback without a single second's delay. I'm awed and impressed by this gift as much as I am by Christian's attention and dedication to family and community. I'm honored to finally start getting to know this guy better - dude, we're starting to rack up a few years!
