My Testimonials

November 30, 2006
This beautiful person opened his arms to a stranger, me, when in London, and intorduced me to a whole new side of London i had not seen before. Christian spreads kindness everywhere he travels to. He is warm like the blanket he wraps his passangers in when driving through a cold rainy London.

about me
my earth name is christian thorkil davies and my spiritual name is sky. i am 35 and was born on april 4th 1972. mayan galactic signature: white planetary world bridger. son of dave davies of the rock group 'the kinks'. i grew up in north london with 3 brothers and at first attended a strict private boys school which i didn't like much and my mum found a more progressive mixed school, king alfred school where i happily remained until the age of 18. after i left school i took a year out working as errand runner/receptionist for music production companies in london. i then decided to go to Harrow Polytechnic art college to do a foundation course. after that i got a job at the virgin megastore to save up money to follow my dream of travelling to california where i eventually ended up staying for a period of 8 years. during my time in california i worked as a P/A for movie and music companies, working for a time as P/A on a john carpenter mini-series! and then got a job as a runner for the art department of a NBC show called 'viper' which was filmed at paramount studios in hollywood. so i got to see lots of stars and hang out on the star trek next generation set which was just totally awesome dude! around this time i also got into web design where i took on my first project of designing a website for my dad (www.davedavies.com) after some time working for film and music companies, i realised it wasn't what i really wanted to do, and because i still hadn't figured out what i really wanted to do, while scrubbing rust off candesticks found in cathi paige's garage in hollywood, i bumped into a british dude called matt who got me a job waitering at a late night coffee shop in hollywood (www.novaexpresscafe.com) where i ended up working for the next 3 years or so. at this time i discovered my passion for electronic music and my passion for dancing, especially to electronic dance music, following all the major DJ's ... (Timo Maas - Music for the Maases still kicks arse!, John Digweed, Seb Fontaine, being my top fave raves!) and attending LA's best dance club Spundae (www.spundae.com) almost every weekend with my raver buddies. during a Christmas trip back to London my brother russ took me to my first psychedelic trance squat party in east london and was hooked on the psychedelic trance groove! it was the sound i had been looking for! i went back to LA in 2003 and hooked myself into the L.A. psychedelic trance scene, going to desert full-moontribe parties (www.moontribe.org) and forest trance parties (www.greensector.com) back in the city i began booking local DJ talent to play at Nova Express Cafe which is also where i began DJ'ing myself. after 8 years or so living in california, where i also spent a life changing time living in fairfax, marin county and a breif stint in san fransisco, it was time to come back to england to reconnect with my family and friends here and to also connect with the psychedelic trance scene in the UK. since moving back to london i have been waitering at a friends vegetarian resturant www.greennote.co.uk and cooking veggie food for students at wentworth tutorial college (www.wentworthcollege.co.uk) in north london and continue to promote trance party events in london. mainly working with the synergy project (www.thesynergyproject.org) and spent the summer working and travelling around the festivals with idspiral (www.idspiral.org) i am also now in the process of kicking off my DJ'ing here in london. during my days i deliver organic produce and environmentally friendly products to your door(www.organicdelivery.co.uk) i am also currently working on launching www.danceaid.org which is a dance charity organisation which puts on dance events to help raise awareness of issues of local and/or global importance. i am also learning massage therapy and reiki and practice yoga. i love indian food and have been a vegetarian since i was 12 years old, although i never ate much meat before that age anyway. since i was a teenager have shared a passion with my dad and uncle claus for old citroen cars! god save the DS! and 2CV! i also love the country of denmark where my mother is from! when hanging or working at home i enjoy tuning into www.digitallyimported.com - it's like having my own personal excellent (most of the time) DJ in my room. i mainly tune into the 'goa/psy-trance channel', the 'chill-out' channel and the 'progressive' channel. thanks for reading and hope to groove with you sometime in the future soon! also you can check me out at ... www.myspace.com/christiandavies
