Christy hasn't given up on things that I have given up on, yet. Despite my best efforts to encourage her dis-illusionment she persists ... her resolve is enviable. Still ... Christy ... just give up ... please ... I'll give you a chocolate chip cookie.

I'm opinionated. Ask anyone. I have an opinion about EVERYTHING...however I do no tneed to express them all, my manners are better than that!
I believe that the highest form of self confidence is humility. I love my family to distraction. I pride myself in trying to see each member of each generation for who they are as individuals and really KNOW them. I find when I have a good sense of my family as people, the people I was born to and learn from and cherrish...I have a greater understanding of the world outside of my family. I am a nuturer. I love this part of me best. My greatest ambition in life to to be a parent with my life's partner, Donovan. We are hoping this journey of parenthood together will begin soon... I believe in mistakes. They have purpose and value in my life. I'm politically aware and passionate. I want my country to better reflect my values and dreams for future generations, and I'm not afraid to do the smallest of things to make that happen.

It's been such an emotional year, I wouldn't even know how to put it into words...but when it comes to Ry's place in it...or, more aptly, my place in his year...I couldn't have imagined a more loving, fulfilling,rewarding way to spend 12 months. I can't wait for the next 12! Happy Birthday Bubby, Mama LOVES you! (photo taken today at daycare) 
I just spent a half hour waiting to speak to the IRS, on purpose.

I was due to receive my Stimulus Package on June 6th and it hasn't arrived yet. Now, don't get me wrong, I think this whole Stimulus Package idea is a load of bull shit, but as long as I am owed one, I want to know where the hell it is, ya know? It turns out I'm an ignorant idiot. I swear I had heard that the Package couldn't be soaked up into tax debt (of which I have plenty this year..$3K, and you believe that crap?... read more

I have no idea how to make her understand what a picture of a moose standing on a knoll overlooking a vista, or a sparkly card in the mail, can do to make me feel her genuine spririt, but I do and I wish I could look her straight in those sparkly beautiful eyes and tell her. A rare and beautiful spriit. I'm a better person knowing her.

I have only met Christy once, but I KNOW she means business, because she entiredly supported the idea of me putting gin-laced ice cubes in Donovan's shirt pocket. Unfortunately, he was not too keen on the idea, so it was a no go. I hope to get to meet C&D again soon, and that we will actually get to talk this time! Perhaps milk and cookies ... or gin and cookies?

I am so happy to have met Christy she comes off as this quite individual when first meeting her but after just a few moments you realize not only does this girl have beauty but brains too. She is a vivatious, wonderful kindred spirit who takes life by the horns and rides for as long as she can. You can tell this girl is going to make it far in life and has a firm grasp on her belifes and doesn't care if you agree or disagree but will still respect your opinion. We are glad to have met two such wonderful people and believe we will cherish their friendship for years to come:)~ Hilary and Tracy

Well, what can I say about Christy...
She's one of the most kind, caring, and supportive friends I've known but don't let that fool ya--she'll put you in your place too :-) She's one of a handful of people that brought me out of my shell and if I remember right she's even responsible for introducing me to my wife of 12+ years. Although my memory is about as reliable as Pres. Reagan's. She's a rare combination of beauty, brains, heart and soul and I thank my lucky stars that I had the good fortune to meet her back in high school.
