The current heat wave in LA has left many without power. The heat is so stifling that we sleep with the fan on full blast and have to deal with the mosquitos that make their way in through the open windows. Coupled with getting food poisoning a couple of days ago I cannot wait to be in another country where at least I get to enjoy new scenery, cultures and cuisine along with the "comforts of home". This weather has definitely shot the quality of life argument against traveling to pieces.
