I am a student at NCF in Sarasota - majoring in economics. I spend most of my time studying and working. I work at the New College Fitness Center and am a research assistant and TA. I also attempt to find time to crochet, hoop, do yoga, dance, play video games, bellydance, and relax. I enjoy listening to all genres of music (especially live). I love meeting new people, experiencing new things, and strawberries.

Having just earned my BA (woo!) and only a few months away from beginning graduate school, I am trying to take in each day slowly and purposefully to make the most of my last summer. Because of this, it is the first time in years I have freedom in what I do each day. I've only been experiencing this freedom for about 2 days as I have been in the process of graduating and then moving to Tampa up until June 1st. After a very hectic week of travel to visit family and loved ones up north, I managed to make it back to Tampa the night before New Year's Eve in order to celebrate with my friends. Unfortunately, my ideal plans fell through and I instead spent my evening with quite a few people I don't know very well at all. Luckily for me, these kids ended up being a ton of fun and we all danced into the new year together - something I have always wanted to do, but haven't had the chance.

I just saw a commercial which defended the use of high fructose corn syrup. The main defense was that it is made with REAL CORN.

www.youtube.com/watch it seems like such a joke - they really can't be serious....
Fourth year at NCF is proving to be an interesting one - there always is something to do, and I'm really happy that it doesn't only include school work this semester. Despite everything going on around me, life has been kind to me as of late. I have good hours at my job, my TA position feels much more comfortable the second time around, my thesis is coming along at a decent rate, and I am pretty satisfied with my life. May is always such a busy/fun/stressful time for me. Not only is it really an entire month of finals, presentations, and papers - but it is also the month of my birthday, the last month of my lease, and the beginning of the end of my stay in Sarasota until August.
