I recently returned from the Arctic where I went to experience the affects of climate change on polar bears and Arctic ecology. My blog, photos and videos from the trip are posted at: mytraveltales.com
I watch them from the beach every morning. They glide right above the crest of the waves, gracefully maneuvering so that they're always just above the water.
But when they see the fish they want, they soar up high where they have a view of the larger landscape, focus in on their fish... And then dive head first into the water like a torpedo to get it!

Reversing the day today. Instead of finding myself spinning poi at 4:40am after being awake all night, began today spinning poi at 4:40am after sleeping all night. Starting the day in that psychedellic trance that typically comes with sleep deprivation and other aids, ignites the morning in that most creative space. Instead of ending the day in trance, beginning the day there.

Dream
Make your dreams a reality
Play drums on the steering wheel
Play
Sit with a homeless person

The two greatest compliments I've ever received are: "You know how to live" and "You know how to love." The reality is you can't truly know one without completely knowing the other. Really living means knowing how to unconditionally love. And to fully love is to really, really live. Every interaction is an opportunity to practice living and loving. Throw in some laughter and now you're fulfilling this gift of life.
