Week 1: Staying On Track
Week 1
Last night I realized that I now have only 3 months before my first solo show in August and I have done jack to get ready for it. It's not that the last two months haven't been busy. They just been busy with the wrong things. Even now this post may be the only thing I get to do on this project today before I have to drop off a present to my friends, go see the dentist, have a musuem date with a woman I met last week and maybe go to a wizard's dance. I was wondering if you guys can help me out here. I'm trying to figure out what is needed to be done to improve my web-site to attract and hold a larger audience? Vision VS Technique
There is no gradient meshes in this illustration. None, Nada, Zip!

The reason I bring this up is because last week I got an email from a guy in India asking for tips about my "great gradient mesh technique" in my work. But the things is, I don't have any? Except for one or two illustrations,I don't use the gradient mesh tool at all! (Even then it is for a simple background effect.) Freaky Friday
Friday March 6th was a bit of a heady mix of professional acceptance and personal rejection in fairly equal measure.

On the rejection part; the woman I was seeing for the past two months broke things off with the standard 'I'm not ready for a relationship' phone call. After spending a week in 'relationship limbo', it was almost a relief! I'm still bummed by it though. I thought that this was a relationship that could really go somewhere and it did...off a cliff!

Great Nakedcomix News!
I've been asked to do my first hanging solo show of my Nakedcomix Art in San Francisco at the Citadel! It will be starting in August and run through October! This also means that my work will be up during the Folsom Street Fair. This will be not only my first solo show but my first show period! I'm am very excited by this opportunity!

I was born in San Francisco a few weeks before the Cuban Missile Crisis. (I wasn't yet a month old and already in a world of trouble! I was the second child of four kids and thought of by most of my family as the strange but quiet one. After a lackluster career in High School, I went off to Junior College and later enrolled in the Academy of Art College (now the Academy of Art University). While at the Academy, I earned a BFA degree in Illustration.
