I know I said I'd write my life story, and what is leading toward my divorce, but life got in the way.

I'm going on a one week business trip, to Korea!

So the last week has been a whirlwind of activity for me. Even so, I've managed to create an outline of what I wanted to say.

Back to Korea again. I love Korea!

I've spent the last several days averaging about 4 hours of sleep per night -

It's no wonder that I am not currently making any toys, or haven't gone very far in my writing project!

When you live with a person in chronic pain, it can be wearying. When that person is selfish and demanding under normal (not painful) circumstances, it can be almost unbearable.

Those of you who know me know that I'm going through a very slow divorce - and you may be aware of the changes I've made in my life over the last 6-7 years.

Tonight, while finishing another cane, I came to the decision to document what's been happening in my life, and why I'm at where I am.

It's been a busy week, woodshed wise.

My personal life has been in a great deal of turmoil lately, so I've been hiding away in my woodshop letting my mind wander as my hands kept busy.

So imagine my surprise when I suddenly realized that I had completed 7 different canes - found that I had created another 7 cane 'blanks' (a blank is the basic form of a cane, it just requires finishing. Finishing is 3/4 of the job!)

Just finished a Hickory cane with Purple Heart inset on the handle. I'm fairly impressed in how it turned out. I love the glow that Purple Heart wood has when it is oiled with linseed.

I'm thinking of setting up some leatherwork for this too - I think I want to add leather wrist hoops to my canes.

I'm also looking at getting some cardstock for my laser printer - so I can make those little cards used to describe the product.
