Things that drive me: Music is my soul, my release. Enjoying life, no matter what happens. Being able to have a sense of humor even about the worst experiences. And, learning about life and all that happens, through both the good and the bad. I'm honest and loyal to a fault.

I am, or have been, a musician (the piano is a big part of my soul, vocals), a photographer specializing in shooting performing musicians, a writer, a poet, networking/systems/ security infrastructure architect, costumer, various theatre roles (acting, lighting, directing, ...), astronomer, archivist, and hacker, among other things. See Occupation for the quote. ;-) I love to travel. A recent trip was a short, two week trip, to New Zealand (absolutely fabulous and beautiful). Many years ago, I sailed through the British Virgin Islands. And, I hope to go back to Japan (at least Tokyo) again. Though, I really should get back to learning Japanese. I've studied a few languages, most of which I can't speak unfortunately (hola, ein sehr bischen, chotto matte), which comes from not being in positions to attempt to speak them often, at a minimum. I have good knowledge about Crohn's disease.

I'm spending time dancing again. I regularly dance and continue to learn all forms of ballroom and social partner dancing. Waltz, polka, lindy hop, swing, hustle, salsa, rumba, samba, . . . I have a private instructor again. Yay, dancing. Ah, to have more regular partners. I'm a member of the vintage ballroom dance performance troupe Danse Libre.
