about me
Newcomer to bellydance. My life is currently ruled by my four year old son who is extremely active, inquisitive, and mechanically minded, as well as the greatest flirt. He wants to be a pirate-astronaut-train engineer. I read. Alot. I'm a menace at bookstores. Barnes &Noble may give me my own parking space.

My son has started caching away food in various places around the apartment. I'm not sure why; but all the accumulated wisdom of the female elders (Mother-In-Law, Aunts, Dad's Wife, and so forth) assure me that this is normal behavior, especially for boys. They claim, in fact, that this is a "phase". At least this explains the disappearance of food from the refrigerator. I was about to call the GhostBusters.

I know, beyond doubt Coyote is keeping a paw on me, and snickering.

Coyote loves me. Deeply. Continually. Perhaps even aggressively. *shrug* For I am squeaky, and chewy.
I sometimes allow my son to watch the Sprout channel on t.v.

This is supposedly a fun, educational channel with lots of cartoons. One of the shows on it is called something like Zaboomafo. The main character is a leaping Lemur. Zaboo jumps around a lot, and meets a lot of other interesting animal friends in every episode. Yesterday's special animal friend was a skunk. There were also other smelly/stinky creatures such as weasels, minks, certain bugs, and a type of bird with really bad d... read more
Ok, almost everyone knows about the WD-40 episode to redecorate mommy's kitchen. Several people heard about the attempt to make snow balls and a snowman out of 20 pounds of flour and a little water. But I (Mommy) needed to have a nice work out at the gym, maybe even hide out in the sauna for awhile. So I left Bug in the care of the Kid's Club care providers at the gym. Bug played. He climbed on the jungle gym, and tossed balls arounds. Then he played with the toys and the other little k...

So what can I say about Chi? We got to know each other not because of any belly dancing fetish of mine but because of henna (or Hennalucent). A wonderful warm soul, always a kind word, wicked humour, super smart and a deft hand with a .44 magnum (OK, I'm allowed to embellish that tiny bit in a testimonial right?)
She disappears and reappears on Tribe like a will-o'-the-wisp, and whenever she's around, she manages to bring a smile to all. It has been rumoured that she doesn't need rest and that only wimps need sleep :o)
