You know, the term "dome" is thrown around alot, whether it refers to more spherical surfaces, or more planar surfaces. A company in Romania's doing it too, as I'm sure are many other companies I'm not aware of:

Absolutely. That technique works great. One square of duct/gorilla tape on one side, and one square on the other side. Then set your grommet. This will give the grommet something more substantial to bite into, and the reinforcement offered by the ...
