today was a busy fricking workday. yesterday was a busy workday. tomorrow will be insane.



it's unusual to have three of these in a row these days. looks like i'm going to hit six in a row before i'm done.

Anita Rowland died of cancer today at the age of 51. She was a great person and one of the first new people I met in Seattle. I met her through her involvement with the Seattle Cacophony Society, and I remember her as being warm and welcoming to someone who showed up to an event without any real idea what was going to happen.

yesterday, i opened my laptop up and 'rewired' broken and burnt out connections inside it with solder. battery is working again, mostly... i think that only half of the current battery is actually functioning properly, and the time remaining changes about every minute or so, but it will keep working for more than about 5 seconds unplugged from the wall now and will actually recharge batteries.



it's still strange to see the 'time remaining' indicator changing pseudorandomly.
