So I love it here
Just finished orientation this week, and I've made a ton of friends. I've never been so excited about life.

Wow so just one more month before I'm 18, and only 17 more days until I leave! This is quite surreal- even more than getting my driver's license or graduating.
Tomorrow I leave for Morocco's workshop in Lafayette! Hoping to make some more friends in the Louisiana community. Everyone I've met so far has been super which makes me that much more excited to meet more people.

I think I've got one of the best summer jobs ever. I get to sleep in til noon, do whatever I want all afternoon (play piano, read, dance, watch bad day time television...), eat dinner and then either teach a dance class or go to a gig in the early evening. All that's usually over by 9, right about when all my friends want to hangout. Perfecetion. And I'm makin much better money than my friends with 9-5 minimum wage jobs. Weee!

so i just found out who i will be living with in the fall! her name is katie, and we've been exchanging a few emails over the past few days.
wow, for a random pairing of two people, i don't think i could be any luckier. we like the same music, movies, and even food. she doesn't bellydance, but a lot of our other interests are similar.
she's got a good sense of humor, and i think she and i are gonna have a lot of fun together.
YAY!
