So I went home (my parent's house) on Friday and Saturday.
I used my father's truck to get back and forth from BRC so I packed and unpacked all the playa goodies at my parent's house. I left a big dusty pile of supplies in their garage with promises that I would come back soon to figure it all out.
This weekend I finally made it back to sort through the madness.
I just needed to wash everything down but more importantly retrieve the all important box of costumes to prepare for Decom nex...

I have been reading friend's blogs post burning man. It seemed that everyone was so down - post-playa depression. I'm not sure I really got it until this weekend.
I decided to stay home this weekend. No drinking, no dancing, nothing - and fuck, did that suck. I found myself on tribe looking at pictures of the playa -wanting to go back and knowing that it's going to be a little while before I can.

I've been meaning to write a testimonial for this amazing woman for ages. I can't ever seem to be able to find the words to express what I want.
I've known Scrummy for 7 years now. Never once in that time has she ceased to amaze me. I have been blessed to watch her figure out who she is, who she wants to be and then take the steps to get there. She is finally starting to recognize in herself what the rest of us have known for ages - just what a fabulous woman she is. She is beauty, joy, fun and laughter. Kristine tells the best stories of anyone I have ever known. She is the perfect travel companion. You can't not have fun when she is around!
If there were one thing I could change about her it would be this: Kristine has more mojo than any human really should ever be blessed with. I wish she'd throw a little bit of it my way. ;-)
Kristine's a keeper. If I were a lesbian I would totally claim her for myself.
I'm honored to have her in my life and that she calls me friend!
