FedUp
I fucking HATE Fed-Ex. Every fucking time they "try" to deliver a package, I have to go pick it up. YES I have a signature thingy on file with them, but I suppose Joe Blow who shipped it can override that and make sure I sign for the $8 orthopedic inserts. God forbid someone might take them off my front porch.

IT'S NOT A DELIVERY SERVICE IF I HAVE TO GO PICK UP THE PACKAGE EVERY FUCKING TIME!!!!

Yeah, they all suck every so often. I just found out that UPS is using USPS to deliver my package. Crazy tactics to save a buck while creating delays for the customer. So it's just not FedEx-- it's everybody.

Ironically, the USPS frequently uses Fedex's planes as well.

Ah, jeez. They all suck in one way or another.

USPS - Any package larger than my mailbox must be picked up from the post office that's more than 10 miles away.

UPS - We once had a package not arrive. After two weeks, it arrived the day after we filed a claim. It was plenty of time to cancel the claim and the replacement order. Still, UPS requires a signature on all packages, and we live in a rural area with a porch not visible to neighbors. If it's the usual driver, he signs /for/ us. Apparently, there's no way to remove the requirement from their computers.

DHL - One time I watched the DHL driver deliver a check I was waiting for from a client. It was a $20,000 check, and the driver stood at the bottom of the stairs and just sailed it up onto my deck. Nowhere near my door, no doorbell, nothin'. Just hoped I might find it, I guess. I complained to DHL, and I received a personal letter of apology from the driver, and I've not seen that driver since.

FedEx - Their tracking system boggles me. I don't ever find my packages in their system until after it's been delivered.

My FedEx nightmare contribution
I had to have to have a package overnighted to LA. It was essential that it get there so I forked out the $178.

The next day they call me up and tell me they just found my package under teh counter and that they forgot to send it.

Do you still want us to send it?

To make a long story short I picked it up and was promised a refund. A few days later they had still not removed the charge so I called. The idiot on the phone tells me that the computer states it was sent and that there is no way it could have not been sent. I'm sitting there going, is that why the box is sitting on my floor right here in Northern California.

I finally got my money back.
