um... yeah, i don't actually use tribe very much. just for checking on a few things and occasionally contacting friends. how about a story!

As I went walking along the beach early one morning, I saw a man walking ahead of me doing the most curious of deeds. The tide was out, and the man was walking along the drying rocks, picking up the starfish and tossing them out to sea. I watched him for a time, until my curiosity got the best of me and I approached him.
“Why are you doing that?” I said.
He responded, "The sun is coming up and the tide is going out; if I don't throw them in they'll die."
I shook my head at his foolishness. “But there are so many miles of sand, and so many starfish. You can’t possibly make a difference.”
He looked at the starfish in his hands, and heaved it far out to sea. Then he looked at me and said
“It made a difference to that one.”
