Let me add.....I love Lyra sososo much! And she loves me too and I really know it! I am enchanted by this young one and totally impressed!! I am, I am so impressed. I missed so much of her growing up, I have had deep regrets for that and had to let them go.....because all we are these days! Though I remember her most as a wee one and a young girl....witnessing recently her personality, demenor, talents, beauty and her ways, I find myself amazed but not at all surprised. She is my beloved neice and I am her beloved Aunt. How blessed am I......

Lyra is like some elven princess who is not into courtly life, instead opting forthe wild and free life of beach and leaf, song and dance.. She exudes a majestic beauty like a tall smooth madrona tree twining branches up to the sky and waving gacefully in the wind. She is a true beauty, both inside and out, being posessed of a magnificently generous spirit, a calming presence, an amazing smile that's seemingly always at the ready, wicked poi slinging skillz and an epic group of amazing people that surround her. May she always walk i beauty with the blessings of three realms raining gently down upon her like flower petals from the sky.

If I had the chance to choose anyone in the whole universe, in this life or the next, to be my daughter, it would be her. I am so proud to say I am her mother, so incredibly proud. I feel honored that she chose me as her mother, 22 years ago; I feel as if we have done this before, and are destined to again. I love her so much - sometimes it just explodes out of me, taking my breath away, and sometimes at odd quiet moments it softly reawakens my wonder with the world when I think of her. I know she feels this too, because usually when it happens, the phone rings; we are connected umbilically no matter how far she is from me, she is my sweetest heart. I am so in awe of the woman she has become, I stumble over descriptions of her in the rush to get it all out. I love her, and I hope it shows.

The joy of my life. The rock of my heart. She spins me round like a record, baby, and makes me laugh and makes me gasp and is as delectable and delightful and delicious as they come.
She braves icy waves and the bitter blast of the north wind, chops up viscous onions in nothing flat, and while she may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, in five inch heels she IS a tall building.
