Ahlan Cairo Nights just a week away

Wooo Hooo!!!! I can't believe Ahlan Cairo Nights is just under week away. I can't wait!!!!!! I get to study and see perform Dina, Randa Kamal and Dandash. Also it is my first time in Texas- very exciting!!!

Jehan on Wife Swap tomorrow night

Exciting news!!!! One of my most esteemed teachers, the amazing Jehan Kamal, will appear tomorrow night on the TV show "Wife Swap" I have been anxiously waiting for this night for 4 months. I had the privilege of being one of many local dancers that participated in this project with Jehan. Though I don't know if any of the footage I was in will actually make it to the show, I am sooo excited to watch the episode. Jehan, being the incredibility generous and giving woman that she is, wanted to share the spotlight with so many dancers in the area, and I feel so privileged to be one of them. From what I recall, the crew was really nice and professional, and the experience has been one of the greatest ones in my dance journey so far. I have no idea what the actual episode will be like, or how it will be edited, but I know one thing, and that is that our art form will be exposed to millions by one of the most talented and respected artists in the field :-) Tomorrow night, right after the episode airs, Jehan will be flying to Egypt to teach at the Ahlan Wa Sahlan festival. for more on Jehan: www.goddessdance.org , www.jehanarts.com
