We have a deadline of May 15 to submit our paperwork to Burning Man to get a placement on the playa. We want to have a good sense of how many people are coming.

PLEASE fill out this form and let us know how likely it is that you'll be coming to Burning Man.

*** http://emailmeform.com/fid.php?formid=71892 ***

If you know someone who is probably coming to Burning Man and isn't on this Tribe or Tribe at all, it would be awesome if you'd pass this link to them too.

Thank you! The Man burns in 121 days!

(If you already filled it out once this year, you don't need to fill it out again.)

I have been keeping a new site ... It's called My New Favorite Thing. I've subtitled it, "Half gratitude journal. Half discovery blog. No complaints." I'm trying to post to it several times per day.

It's a fun format to find a voice with, and I'm really enjoying it. I have posted from my phone. There are videos, my own photos, food, quotes, and all stuff that makes me smile a lot. I'm Internet geeking out on it, basically. :)

http://faves.tumblr.com/

I'd love it if you'd subscribe to it if you use Google Reader or other RSS reader.

Thanks for reading!

Earlier this year, an artist asked if she could include a photo of mine in a book she was editing.

It's a book of self-portraits of people crying. If you know me at all, you have seen me cry. I also take pictures with my camera. A few times, I have done both at the same time. The picture in the book was one of those times.

The book is called I'm Too Sad to Tell You.
And it is now for sale.

My friend Nicole is going out of the country for a few months and is subletting her apartment. It's a great deal, really close to the F subway.

Here's her message. Feel free to message her directly (tell her you heard about it from me), or you can message me and I can introduce you ...

Hey dudes,

I'm going to be traveling from December 7th until at least February 7th and am renting my room during that time with an option to stay through the month of February. The room is large, furnished and sunny. It's on the same block as the Church ave F train stop, close to Park Slope and about four blocks from Prospect Park. I live with amy cimini, who if you don't know her, is amazing, fun, easy going and never home. The apartment is spacious, has a dishwasher and has been very recently remodeled. If you or someone you know needs a place, call me 347 453 5522 or message me. Oh yeah, its $650 a month and there are like $50-$70 utilities.

hope everyone's healthy and happy. fell free to forward this post.

loves,

Thirty Spokes

[My favorite verse from my favorite translation of the Tao.]

Thirty spokes
meet in the hub.
Where the wheel isn't
is where it's useful.
Hollowed out,
clay makes a pot.
Where the pot's not
is where it's useful.
Cut doors and windows
to make a room.
Where the room isn't,
there's room for you.
So the profit in what is
is in the use of what isn't.
