CTP reminds me of Mardi Gras masks. Not the bullshit you buy the same day as the parade, but one that you dream about, months in advance. It lingers at the corner of your dreamscape, scuttling like a crab, trying to not draw attention but clack-clack-clacking its way into a corner to hide.
A mask of proportions that changes with your mood.
A mask that can frighten and delight in the same breath.
A mask of kindly harmless man, which veils the cunning ideas bubbling.
A snake oil salesman in reverse, who wants to sell you the happiness he knows you deserve.
A mask without presumption, without ego. A mask with a soul.
A mask that if you put it down, it stays down, because it doesn’t need a face to feel human.

Monsieur CTP can occasionally be the bratty 5 year old who invents new and interesting ways to bug. Overall – he’s a muffin. And – a sign of his beneficence - he brought us the magic coffee machine. *sigh* Now we must worship.
That’s it! I knew there was something familiar – he is the pilot around whom the cargo cult revolves =:0)
I seldom rave ir fawn - writing this - it is a measure of the value of a CTP in the daily life of the org.
