Master Button List!!!!

   Fri, May 9, 2008 - 12:09 PM
I has one.

And it is kinda up to date...many new ones to add to it this weekend. Anyway, it is here: snarkymcfuckbuttons.com/buttonlist.html and there is a link to it on the main page over at Snarky McF too. If you want to be credited for one you suggested let me know, but don't you forget because I'm not quite ready to be able to list all that out, but I want to find a way to sometime soon.

And don't forget that many of them can be seen here right now - www.flickr.com/photos/ctp...4548764937/ and the Nemomatic/CTP series (of which there are plenty availiable for $2 apiece) can be seen here - www.flickr.com/photos/ctp...4037057393/

Well, I always figured you'd like Masterbuttoning.
You think we can make a date to do some buttoning?
(I have a couple of ideas--for work---that I'd like to try out w/out placing a large, commercial order.)

If you're swamped, I understand...

Very cool.

I would love to get a few of your buttons. I really like the Nemomatic/CTP series. Very cool stuff. I really want the simple "Freak" button. It is nice and simple.

the question at the moment is how to make it into something sustainable - i.e. that I can derive enough income from versus the time it takes me. I have a funder interested in buying me an automatic maker, but I really don't want to go into the button making biz full time - that'd be a big drag, but where is the cutoff? Where does it remain fun but turn profitable? Can it? I dunno. I do plan to put paypal order buttons up at Snarky McF soon to see how many actually sell. Please note that I doubt I will have every one of them for sale like that...just the super popular ones and the occasional special item.

One thing for sure is that I am working on making some kind of carrying case for bringing them around to sell when I go to various places - like RoboexoticaUSA (tomorrow night), Power Tool Drag Races, and the like.

Why not sell em on Etsy? They'd fit in there really well.

At all the punk shows I went to In NYC there was a button guy (I guess there's always a button guy...). His display case was a giant white sheet that he fastened all the buttons to. He'd roll it out, clamp the top corners to something handy at the performance space and sit on his chair. When he was done, he'd just unclamp it and roll it up and go.

you could always get Syd in on the action.....-

The Syd idea is a good one, except she should only be exposed to maybe half of the buttons, if that...ya know? I mean, she isn't even allowed to say the name of the company!!!

Snarkymccensoredbuttons has a certain ring to it.

>I mean, she isn't even allowed to say the name of the company!!!

That made me laugh a bit too loudly at work. Oy!

She should learn to work blindfolded. It'll be good for her brainmeats.
