Good things come to those who wait...
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 3:38 PMBut the clogs. Dammit, I didn't see another pair of those same Michael Kors clogs at another Shoe Pavilian. They were over $120, down from retail of $165, and I just couldn't bear paying that much online. Months later, I saw a similar pair at a Ross for $79, but I was *supposed* to be buying dressy shoes and shoes for work. Clogs were casual. How could I legitimately justify them? A few months ago, I saw a similar pair, but they had this garish print on the fabric. Not exactly what I had in mind, but they were only $39. Still, I couldn't get past the fabric.
Which brings me to today. A quick trip into Ross at lunch to see if I could find any flats to replace my beloved Jessica Simpson LEVE flats. I've worn them so much they have holes on the sides. I had no idea Jessica Simpson made shoes, and I'm not really a fan, but I thought it was hilarious that I have a pair of them. Especially, since I didn't realize it until I had gotten home with them. Anyway, I'm scanning the shelves, and I come across the clogs, the freaking Michael Kors clogs. In black suede.
And get this. They are $13.99.
Total savings = $151.01
Damn, I'm good.

Sweet deal! I love it when our beer budget can feed our champagne tastes. I once got a pair of adorable Prada mary-janes on Ebay for $35. I don't think they had ever been worn. The price sticker on the box was from Neiman Marcus - $410. Woot! Gotta love those killer deals. 'Specially on shoes.

As I've been finding out, ask the universal energy for what you want, how you want it, and it will deliver when it's the time.
Right on! Awesome score, to find the pair that got away for next to nothing. Shoe therapy can work, and better when it's a barn burner deal. |
