I'm thinking about getting a DVB-S tuner for my computer just to see what it does here. I find the possibility of getting HDTV from germany or whatever interesting for some reason.

I guess I could probably resell it on ebay if it doesnt do jack for me. I also think I'm going to get an ATSC tuner for the computer I'm putting together for Kindra. I'm kind of excited about the thought. You know phoenix gets something like 30 ATSC channels? Including four or five PBS.



My cat is crazy. Just in case you didn't know. Of course they are all crazy.



I'm really happy with kindra at the moment. She has continued to be friendly and communicative with me lately. I think we've talked on the phone three hours or so in the last week.

She told me she (finally! after a year!) talked to leroy (the guy she is buying this place from) about his offer to find a cheap mobile home and buy it and put it on the property and just add it to her loan. He says there arent a lot of them left anymore because the demographics out here are changing but he would keep his eye out (if she had talked to him last year...). But here is the cool thing. The property to the south of me is the one that used to have a stickframe house on it but the tweeker who lived there burned it down when they foreclosed. For a short while some country band owned it.. but they left (leaving a motorhome there I had meant to ask bill about but never did cause I was never here). Lately I noticed that Bill and the asshole who stole my previous house were there and they had demolished the burned out house and put an annoying yippydog in there etc. Well when kindra talked to leroy she found out that mr-thief had moved in there, leaving the property I lost to his son. I dont know where he is staying in there.. but anyway. So it turns out the property is for sale and since its only 1.25 acres and no house on it it might be cheap.. so leroy offered to buy it and add it onto kindra debt. Here is the thing, evidently leroy knows the story about us losing the house and he told kindra this because she could then charge the asshole rent! And she could actually evict him if he got in a bad situation financially and she felt spiteful. Oh yes. Lovely. Bigtime shamtan my friends.

Okay first, my property is 2.5 acres, the lots out here were all fives, the half to the east of me got subdivided and is empty. To the north of my is my old five, which has those people in it. The one west of it is not only far enough away from me to be comfortable its only inhabited maybe one or two nights a week, sometimes none. Its another of leroys investment properties. To the west of me across the street is an empty lot. To the south of it is bill's lot which is comfortably far and doesnt have a lot of direct views. The one to the southeast of me (east of the burned one out one) is uninhabited at the moment. SO basically the only houses close enough to me to be at all casually visible are the ones to the north (my old one) and the south) the burned one). The view from the burned one is to the back of my property so for example my courtyard is faces opposite it, there is some privacy. But anyway.. owning it would remove one more of my privacy obstructions.

Okay now I've mentioned whats not on the property, let me tell you what IS. An aviary (huge, with like four 20 foot trees in it (dead now sadly) but with chicken wire over the whole thing, a cement pad where the house used to be, a garage, a workshed, the cover of an old bridge?Its a like an RV storage thing with two open ends, and at least one other building a second small building. Now the last time I was over there (right after it was burned) there was a tunnel underneath between two of the buildings. This is not uncommon out here because of all the drug manufacturing. The buildings all kind of form a courtyard there too, open end towards the west and not really viewable. I see so many potentials with a property like that. Hell id rather have that one than the one im in.. if I got a decent trailer for it I might drag my cars, my workshed, and my semi trailer over there and move in.. hell maybe I could move the garage too, its a conduit building. Trust me 1.25 acres is plenty for a house even though it doesnt sound like much. It has even less neighbors than I do because across the street to the south of it is empty native land owned by some farmer and unused.



Not only that but I went out into the garage today and started looking through the rubbermaid tubs and for once instead of just seeing an endless wasteland of destroyed valuable shit that I acquired through hardwork or stuff we bought for our new house (that she lost) and never used... I saw tons of shit I've been looking for undamaged. I'm still irked at how much stuff im finding like.. a big tub full of yugo hubcaps.. what the hell? That would have held five the five ruined carburettors fine. Oh well. Finding a ton of shit I need and don't have to go buy... I've got the stunning staggering amazing headache from the 8th ave house that I somehow lived through for four years because of rifling through old tubs, but not a big deal.



Went over to Bill's and got some parts from his parts blazers but didnt get to finish cause he decided to close his shop up. Door panels, sun visors, half the wire I need to hook up an interior light..



Its been a good day aside from all the bullshit sleep problems and eating problems and the frikking cold (its raining right now again but at least I had most of a day without). I'm looking forward to crawling into the warm bedroom and watching TV in a while.



Only big bummer was ebay screwed up an auction and I missed getting a 15-20 pair of new balance shoes of the right kind for my foot. C'est la vie. I miss having a whole pair of tennies though... going outside in the mud in sandles.. bummer. Mm and that headache :)
