Update on my Melodia Issue

At Tribal Carvan I went and talked to both Melodia and Danielle. Danielle informed that due to some foreign holiday she had no idea when she would get my pants back to me. I think at this point they had had them over a month. I went up to Melodia and asked her if she would even give me partial credit towards another pair of pants so we could just get this done and over with. I had explained the issue with the pants earlier in the day. She said get another pair and we'll figure something out. I was so relieved. I got a pair of black sashes in a fabric that was a bit different that the fabric that my mini's were made out of (at least in my opinion). I have been worn them a few times and washed them and they are perfect. I love them. I am once again a Melos fan. I now own 3 pairs. Black sashes, mendhis and my peacocks which are my favorite.

I'm so freaking bummed!

Everyone raves about Melodia's. "They are the most wonderful pair of pants ever!"

Well I don't feel that way. Yes I have a pair that are awesome! But my other pair had severely disappointed me and the company has disappointed me even more. In Jan I bought a pair of basic black pants. Nothing special but I'm cheap and for me to spend $70 bucks on a pair of black stretch pants is almost unheard of. So I broke down and spent the money. Got them, they fit great, wore them a couple of times, washed them in cold water and laid flat to dry. Then when I put them on I noticed they had some holes in them. So everyone told me to contact Melodia or Danielle should I say. Which I did. I sent an tribe mail to Danielle to which she responded to within just a few minutes saying "I don't do business on tribe please send to...." I sent an e-mail and waited over a week to get a response, no response. Someone else posted that they had a similar problem with the same pair of pants. So I posted my experience there because I hadn't heard back from Danielle. I have a performance coming up at the end of April and wanted to make sure that everything would get straightened out by then. Danielle told me just to send them the pants. Which I did.

It's now April 13th and they received my pants via FedEx on the 2nd. No knowledge of receipt or anything. No email, no phone call, no god damned carrier pigeon.

I'm really upset. If I pay that much for a pair of pants I should be getting at least semi decent customer service. I work in the same industry and we'd be out of business if we treated customer half as good as I have been treated by the company. It's me and the owner in our shop, same as it is in her business. The pants are great but they aren't worth the apathy and the frustration. I don't want to do a chargeback but unfortunately if I don't hear back from Danielle in the next couple of days I will be forced too.

Any suggestions?

Is there such a thing as being too honest?

I e-mailed a friend that I haven't talked to her in a while to see how she was doing. I got an e-mail back that said she basically didn't want to talk to me because I was too negative about her relationship. I did some soul searching to figure out why I re-acted the way I do about her relationship. Here are the reasons:

1.) She cheated on her boyfriend when she went to Indiana. Told her boyfriend and he forgave her.

2.) Went to Vegas with and when we met a couple of guys she decided to hang out with them after I went back to my boyfriend. So I had to go back to the group and explain to them where she went. Not pleasant, the group of guys all had their own ideas of where she had gone and I stood up for her. I later found out that she cheated again. Next Vegas trip her boyfriend wouldn't let her go.

3.) He's in the military. Meaning he's gone 6 months out of the year. He's been on 2 deployments. They just recently moved in together to Ventura where she has no friends and no family and is going back to school. So she will be alone for 6 months out of the year.

4.) He's completely infatuated in love with her. She's also 22.

5.) They are high school sweathearts that broke up and got back together a million times. For cheating. I see the same pattern again.

I don't know maybe it's just me but to have a relationship start out like this just doesn't seem kosher. John would drop me in a second if I treated him like this. Can a relationship last with so much infidelity with in the first 2 years? Am I being too critical of her?

My relationship is far from perfect but I would never think of cheating on John. I have cheated on other boyfriends and at those points in the relationship I shouldn't have been in them in the first place. I have told her my experiences hoping that she would have a different view point on things. I guess she took that as being negative.

Now I can admit that there is some jealousy because she has a caring, romantic guy who is ready to settle down and get married and I have a wonderful guy who is un-romantic and scared to death of commitment but I wouldn't change our relationship for anything else in the world. We don't argue, he treats me good and he a lot of fun. ;)

There are other reasons why I have decided to drop her as a friend but we don't need to go into those. I'm having a mix of sadness and apathy for the whole situation. I want her to be happy but overall I think I have just outgrown her.
