i remembered that jack always brings a ham, so in his name i bought one today in town. so we can all eat it and think of jack, even though he wont be able to join us this time.

in the celebration of another gorgeous day, i lounged lazily on the diving board. feet dangling down, i admired as the fish swam closer and closer to the shore. i was amazed by their size and soothing movement. at this moment my side vision caught a water snake as it snatched itself a fish dinner. the fish was about 5 to 6 inches long, the snake could hardly move with the weight of the fish.
