Noora is such a sweetheart. Very supportive and fun to be around. She has an ambition that is inspiring. And is an absolutely beautiful dancer. I love that she is open to many different dance styles and does them all with so much grace and respect for the dance.

about me
I have been Belly Dancing since 1990. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV where I have spent my entire career. I have seen so many changes come into town and people come and go. My mother (Aziza of Las Vegas (c) ) is our instructor in town and does many workshops. I also teach private lessons in my spare time (ha ha, what a funny phrase!) and I enjoy seeing everyone in my community get together.
So I am trying to change my major to the Urban Affairs college- Environmental Studies. When I went they told me that my GPA was too low. Great. And I am expecting to get a "C" in Physics which is not going to bring it up any. So it looks like I have to go another semester and get straight 'A's to be able to enroll. Hopefully I won't need to change my major anymore. Looks like I can gradute in 3 years this way.
On a dancing note, I have not been to anything in months and I feel pretty isola...

So, while everyone was enjoying the Tribal Massive Spectacular on Friday night, I was driving my sister up to Tonopah for her youth group. I started the morning with a slight sore throat no biggie. I woke up Saturday really hating life (I blamed it on singing too much on the way up). SInce I didn't get much sleep that night, I went back to the hotel to sleep and woke up wanting to die. I was in so much pain, I couldn't swallow, eat , drink, or get up. I ended up at the E.R. in Tonopah were th...

So my classes are causing me major issues. I am doing ok in my Calculus class but my physics class is not going so well. I don't have time to study and I barely have time to dance. I have tests in both classes next week and I had plans to study all weekend and isolate myself but my Brother-In-Law from Virginia who is a truck driver stopped into town. There goes my weekend of study. I am not going to say much more. I thought I would post to tell people I was still alive (for now). On a side no...

Well, it seems as if I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I am taking Physics and Calculus this semester at school and I am drowing in homework I don't understand (comes from not taking Math in 8 years). My Physics Lab teacher is an Astrophysicist teaching a 100 level college class. He told everyone "I am not going to show you how to do it because I am just grading my own work...you have to figure it out on your own." which brings me to the "what the hell am I paying $700 for one class...

So I have been reading the articles on the latest debate with the Dems. At this point, if I did like Clinton or Obama, I would vote for Edwards instead. I don't like campaigns where all they do is bad mouth other candidates. That is the biggest turn-off to a person to me is when the other starts their commercials start of with something the other one did and so forth. I don't like any of them right now because hey are trying so hard to find something wrong with each other that they are losing...

Re: PAID!!
(in Tabu- Tribal dance art)
I agree...I would mush rather support our local "up and coming" events and such than someone trying to steal the show from us.

(in I LOVE MIDDLE-EASTERN DANCE AND MUSIC)
My Mom is an awesome Egyptian Style dancer. I do it also but I am better at Turkish and Lebanese styles. Long live traditional style!!

Re: DO YOU BELLYDANCE IN THE CAR?
(in The Indigo Belly Dance)
I do it all the time...growing up with it, my Mom used practice her zills in the car while waiting to pick us up from school. Now my daughter is going through the same thing...I get the best combos in the car it seems like!
