My Blog
...and so life goes on as it has this past century...
Mon, February 4, 2008 - 8:01 PMAnyway, I was planning on going to the hafla and dance and vend, however it seems as if I shold really stay home and study for my first test in both classes which are Monday and Tuesday next week. I am trying very hard to stay above water already.
Why is it, that if you don't watch football, people think you are crazy and look at you funny? I absolutely hate football and people scoffed at me at work because I wasn't in the "let's talk about how crazy the SuperBowl was" in crowd. I could care less about it and I don't care to either. Don't think i am crazy when you don't like the things I find interesting! Geez!!
So I have been behind in my postings as I have been busy so I am going to recap some events the last couple weeks:
1) I am SO feeling better from being sick for a week! YAY!
2) If you did not go to Chandelier's last Friday, it was one hell of a party!! Britt danced and we cheered her on and then we all got groovin to our own style. I have many pictures to prove it! (Yasmin has no alcohol tolerance...he he he...Whiskey is bad!!)
3) Whenever I see Hillary Clinton on tv working her campaign, i always seem to get the image of her speaking in front of the United Nations have a hormonal moment saying "Don't Make Me Press this button!!" and I just crack up!! I just imagine her getting all women emotional because someone doesn't like one of her politic's and throwing a temper tantrum like she was when she didn't win the Iowa Caucus/Primary. Sorry, I have been wanting to share that for a while.
4) After Bush gave his state of the Union address I wanted to laugh so hard. When the Dems did their rebutle to his speech, they basically slapped him in the face and told him he was a child with childlike goals. They talked to him like he was 5 and the woman speaking was repeating herself which was very irritating.
5) I have come to the conclusion that even if I was Dem, I would not vote Dem. The way I see it is this: Right now, Bush has us going at a fast pace at 70 miles an hour in one direction, even if it is wrong. The way all the Dems are talking, if they took office, it would be like putting the parking brake on at 70 miles an hour on the freeway. This country cannot afford to abrubtly change everything.
Well, that about recaps the past couple of weeks for me. One good thing at work is, I was assigned as a Lead for a project that went to DOE so that was a big step of confidence for me!! YAY!!

Good luck on your exams. I know how you feel. My classes are kicking my butt right now too. I had a great time at Chandeliers Friday too. I needed to put the books down for a few hours. It was fun. And whiskey isn't a joke, yo. I didn't watch the State of the Union for the first time in a very long time. I missed the temper tantrum Hil had after Iowa. I must have been watching another channel at the time. I know it's easy to be discourage about the political game right now. Tomorrow should narrow the field considerably. But in my humble opinion, I'd rather be going 5 mph in the right direction than 70 mph in the wrong direction. I honestly think regardless of who takes office there will be some serious changes. And America is resilient. We roll with the punches. Good luck in classes, try to remember to take some time for yourself while you are engulfed in homework. You can do it!

We had so much fun lady... just remember to take a little time every day in the middle of all of your craziness to breathe. take a deep breath and repeat: "I'm ok. I'm going to do fine. And Yasmin thinks I'm hot." ;) I had to throw in a little comedy. Love you!!!!! |
