Poetry & Assorted Dribble

a senseless sensation
of alliteration
shame sounding the same
as my
mangled tangled poems

wearing the cloak of pity
over bare white sorrow
a callous spring
stalks the petal-less grass
silently uncaring and golden

rainfall descends
with gentle lonliness
night bestows
subtle truths
for hearts to perceive and gather
borrowed remains of time

the fragile day
is gently disappearing
into night's silent shadows
vanishing
every moment passes
folded like yellowed lace
leaving no trace
erased

I always watched
without trusting
my head held broken storms
close within
heart reaching
for a face that spoke desire

Stuff they say about me

I am very pleased that I've come to know Robyn over the past year or so. Her sense of humour is quiet but incisive and witty. Her observations welcome and thoughtful. Knowing Robyn as herself and as the youngest sister of three offers a unique view of "the three sister's".

I always thought it would be neat to be the youngest sister. You get to learn from all your older sisters' mistakes, plus know in advance what year your gallbladder will be coming out.

Seriously, Robyn is an amazement to me. She has the most honest and gentle spirit of anyone I have ever known. Her spirituality touches every aspect of her life and her kindness touches everyone she meets. Deeply thoughtful, she has a profound way with words and is always an optimist. She gives true meaning to the term, "Inner Beauty". Plus she has a gorgeous complexion.

My little sister is someone that I am not only greatly honored to call my sister, but also I am very proud to consider her one of my greatest friends. I could only aspire to the peace and gentility she brings to our family and her own now, with her daughter. Even if she did lock me out of the house when I was 11 -- I forgive her. She's made up for it, in the long run.

Robyn is a breath of fresh air. As a child and still, she beams a child's innocent glee and smile. She always emitted this goodness and happiness through the chaos around her. This caused me to watch her closely. What are her secrets?

There are some poems she sent me a long time ago. There is a mood she evoked in them, that I have always associated with her since. Play, passion, love, and nature. She is at home in nature, stick a backpack on her and send her off, she'll come back with 10 poems that will knock your socks off.

There is a bit of the Peter Pan syndrome that she actually pulls off quite well by filling her life with adult activities that give her the opportunity to utilize them, such as cleaning offices late at night, where I am sure she flies above the vaccuum whooping and swimming through the air.

And now she is a mother. That gives her many opportunities to hang out at her other natural habitiat, the playground.

She is learning and growing every day. I am grateful to call her my knock-your-socks-off-with-a-smile-sister.
