Steve definitely has the funk. The Mothership isself landed in his back yard (i saw it) and WHOOP! right out into the house went this phat glowing probe throbbing with a groove and poked him in the pooter and lo, gave unto him the Funk evermore. plus he was already a really cool guy who's a freak if you know where to scratch. one of the more solid bass players i've known and blessed with a great ear for sound. he's the roman column of rhythm sections and the bridge over the river of chord tones!

I've been recording and producing music for over 15 years, in all styles. I've worked with alot of bands and a ton of great rappers in the area, some famous, and some not so famous. It seems like these days alot of engineers have been cought up on gear, which is an important part of the recording process, but it's not THE most important part. As i'm reading through ad's for other studios, and reading what other engineers have to say, it seems as if they are selling their wor... read more
Thats right kids, after a year in the making, "The Vinny Johnson Band - 112 In The Shade" is done. Finished. So, come and get yours hot off the press now before your neighbor does. And you can be the first one on your block to say 'I knew them when....' Send me and your address and $10.00 and I'll send you one. Or, if you are so inclined, you can download the tracks here:

SERIOUSLY, DOES ANYONE ACTUALLY READ THESE THINGS? Alright, here goes.... Hi. My name is Steven. My friends call me steve, and my parents called me Steven Gerald Glaze, but you didn't hear it from me. You see, I always hated my middle name, it always reeked a little dorkiness, and because of that I hated the first day of school. Come on, you know what I mean right? Thats the day when you had to show up and take roll so they can find out who you are, tag you, and release you back into the wild. knowing full well that they are probobly only going to see you half the year anyways, except for lunchtime when everybody is out smoking on the field. Anyways, I always hated people knowing my middle name, maybe it's because my friends loved to F**K with me, or maybe because nobody should really be named Gerald. Whatever. As you can probobly see, I tend to ramble a bit (insert A.D.D. joke here...), and for some ungodly reason I have alot of friends that like to hear me ramble. I have no idea why, but I think it amuses them so I go with it! ;) Some of them are below on this page, so you would have to ask them. I love my friends to death. Without them I wouldn't be writing this, so I do think highly of them. They are amazing people, so stop by and add them as a friend already. Anyways, I'm a musician, a recoding engineer and producer. i've been playing instruments for a long time, and I've been recording other musicians for about 15 years. Some of them famous, some not so famous, some that should be famous and some that don't have a snowballs chance in hell to be famous. But they all have one thing in common. They love music, and they have something they have to say. And i'm lucky enough to be able to help them say what they need to say. Not a bad gig eh? So, whaddya say, lets get into the studio and create some amazing music together. Not to get famous, or make money, but to capture the spontanious interaction between a group of people, that all have something to say. Music touches upon an emotional level that words alone simply cannot. It breaks all boundries of ethnicity, and cultures and can solidify vast groups of people to support a common cause. It can start a revolution. And, I don't know about you, but I think it's high time for another one of those.
