about me
We took Braden to his first Burning Man in 2006, and he fell in love with fire spinning. He had already learned to love the playa, and has spent lots of time at Black Rock and others as well as much of Nevada's basin and range. When we read in the paper that he could learn to spin with Controlled Burn, we went to the River School. I had planned only for Braden to learn, but Jacob said no way was I just going to sit when I could learn too, so we both started. Braden is learning much faster than me, is much better at it, and can hardly keep from spinning stuff (poi, staff, lunch box, dog leash) . He absolutely loves it. We will never miss a Burning Man if we are in the US in August/September, and will participate in any international version of ManBurn we discover in travel. We will figure out how to participate in as many ways as we can, but I think fire spinning will always be Braden's main involvement.
