Lets see, I have known Sam for years now. We have partied many of times and would still be doing the same if I live back home, in Ca. Sam has always been very nice, outgoing and will give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Or if she just wanted to be topless lol..... She's my very best friend and a wonderful mother. I miss hanging with her, as Im stuck in this hell hole....

hmmm... How do I feel about Sam? Let me think....

Sam is not only really, really funny, and fun to be around, she is encredibly loving, supportive, and warm hearted. She is a wonderful freind, mother, and all around person.

I am beyond happy to know her.

Yeah, I'd say that about sums it up! ;-)

Ok...ok...here's the deal...
Sam is this blustery, brusque Valkyrien female who could most likely stomp you into a greasy schmere with her hiking boots if you crossed her.

She is also one of the truest and kindest souls I have ever met.

There is an awful lot we two have in common and most of it is sitting patiently in my bar waiting for us. There are very few who can just walk in to my house, grab my best whiskey, walk right to my glassware and pour enough of a gut buster for both of us and *then* say "hello"! That, my friends is a sister of the soul.

She will defend her gal pals (and a few of their husbands) to the death (most likely the other persons) and then have you sit down and have a glass of wine with her.

I even showed her how to make my hummus...if that ain't a declaration of love and undying friendship, nothing is! She is the Gwen of the mountains...my best friend next to the magnificent miss G and it was I who dragged her to Faire...now she is tainted...bwahahahaha.

I'm happy, occassionally funny, love my friends (sometimes to a fault), hate being bored, get off on learning new things, and have a temper. I don't like negative people or empty wine bottles.

Bloggety bloggety blog

We have a new puppy.

My cat has been moping terribly since Pooh died. Horrible little beast has been wailing around the house like his tail's on fire, and has taken to sleeping on TOP of me. He weighs upwards of 18 pounds, so it's a bit daunting to try to turn over at night. Add to that the fact that my house has not been dogless in 13 years and, well, a puppy just seemed like the thing to do.

We went shelter-hopping. We looked at males, females, big dogs, little dogs, pups, adults... e... read more

What a great weekend! We did so much I think I’ll just hit highlights; otherwise this blog’ll be a novella…

Checked into San Francisco Suites on Nob Hill. Fabulous rooms, fabulous concierge. (photo is our front room overlooking the corner of Powell & Pine).

Dinner at Sam’s Grill: Blackened swordfish to DIE for, and veal cutlets with a lovely bercy sauce…. mmmmm.

After-dinner drinks at Voda Vodka Bar. Cucumber goodness that I kept burping up all night.

Back to the suites where I sa... read more

Last night I was at my computer, pecking away and reading stuff. I had the outside door to my office open. A hillside butts up to the back of the house, covered with huge ferns and broom and bramble – perfect for critters both large and small. I regularly see deer out there, along with squirrels and birds other sundry fauna.

Taking a break from the typing, I realize I’ve been hearing a kind of skritching noise outside. Figured it was my fat lazy cat out there, catching moths and whatnot. S... read more
