My life is defined by music. I take DJ'ing very, very seriously. I started fiddling around with mixing records in April of 1993. My first gig was at a house party in a livingroom, I was playing Ambient and what is now called Downtempo. My original idea expanded greatly in that year when I realized that I would persue this art form every day for the next 13 years. In that 13 years I've played at some pretty small venues and have also played at some HUGE parties too including my personal favorite "The Gathering" a few years ago... I guess most people don't remember the Gathering but if you're from the West Coast you could only imagine my excitement in being asked to play at such a special event... it was a moment in my life that I will always consider the turning point in my art form and in my life. I have seen many dj's come and go, I've met a lot of chumps in this scene but I've met some of the coolest and most genuine artists I've ever come in contact with. I feel blessed to have played with some of the best DJ's in the world and if I was never asked to play again, I would be satisfied with what I have created for myself and what I have done with this opportunity or as I call it this art form. I am also learning to play Appalachian and old timey fiddle and I sing too.
