So Barack Obama is making his rounds in Europe now. All of a sudden he is requesting more troops from the European side for the war in Afghanistan and he has stated that he will send more US troops there. http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,567804,00.html Did I miss something? I thought he was gonna bring the troops home and make the world a more peaceful place? Change? The man is a liar. A cool, calculating politician. The only change I see is the man has got a good PR machine.

I just got back from my third trip to that country and I must say it's getting pretty bad there. I only met one nice stranger who was willing to help me get to a destination and he happened to be a pastor. It's not safe to travel there especially if you're not Asian. Getting around is tedious as hell. The taxi and tricycle drivers will rip you off even after you have made a deal with them. If you're white they WILL discriminate against you. Everybody wants money from you -yes even the government. They will try to sell you all kinds of junk. Whether it's black market DVD's or sex with young women. The air pollution is very bad. The poverty is shocking. There is risk of you getting kidnapped or even killed by the Communists, the Muslim extremists from Mindanao or an attempted overthrow of the government by a few military officers and senators. Don't let the pictures of beautiful beaches and scenery fool you. It's a 3rd world shithole in Southeast Asia.
