Despite the corporate media blackout of serious coverage for either candidate and negative airtime devoted to their ridicule and trivialization, the voters of Ohio and Texas disbelieved the military-petrodollar Big Lie and elected Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul in their respective congressional primary races.

I think, you good folks of Ohio and Texas, from his having been through the horror of the Civil War himself, Lincoln would be proud of you tonight in supporting the two candidates who have completely and totally denounced and opposed this unjust war in which our nation is mired, this terrible blot on our Constitution and American traditions of democracy.

"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."

Abraham Lincoln,
16th American President

Kucinich won his district? Oh, I'm sooo glad! Until he ever gets the credibility he deserves on the national stage, it is good for the world that he is in *some* position of influence, where--who knows?--he could have a more positive impact on this country than any of the political superstars will...

Absolutely, K, yes.

Kucinich's work is drawing many young people into an involved political and socially conscious awareness. His campaigns and congressional work are also providing internship opportunities in the field and on the hill in D.C. -it may be that Dennis himself never takes office as president but young staffers and volunteers now in training through these experiences carry on the tradition and so eventually, some day, one or more of them does take office.

Paul and Dennis continue to be the odd couple protecting the Bill of Rights. I feel much better this morning knowing both are engaged in the democratic process. Double the guard!
