Soul in the Machine - Soul in the Machine is a revolution in music. A live electronica band designed, built and programmed from the ground up. Custom-built stainless steel instruments and sculptures incorporate LEDs, lasers and robotronix for a show unlike any other. www.soulinthemachine.com

The Pink Party Fashion Show will be a professionally produced runway show featuring half a dozen local designers and artists including Vaszaro/Soul in the Machine, Enlighted Designs, Girl on Top, Jaq'D Wear, and Miss Cynthia Couture. Physical production will be be by Merge Events/SitM and the actual fashion show will be overseen by Nostika Magazine!

The Pink Party is committed to supporting breast cancer research, patient and family care, to educate about environmental/biological causes and the importance of early detection. By bringing the community together to party for a cause, The Pink Party allows us to celebrate survival, empower and educate. Providing a community connection in an uplifting environment, we aim to celebrate and honor the lives of women and men whom breast cancer has touched, through music,entertainment, and the power of knowledge.

During this process we (The Pink Team) have been aware that though we choose to interpret this event as a celebration of life in the face of this serious disease, our joyful approach may not speak to everyone. If at any time you, as an objective and passionate person, have any ideas about how we may incorporate different examples of respect, honor and empowerment into this event and our response to the breast cancer epidemic, please do not hesitate to
share them with us!

Breast Cancer Fund

The 2007 Annual Pink Party recognizes that only ten percent of women who have breast cancer have a genetic history of the disease, and that science increasingly points to environmental factors in the sharp rise of breast cancer incidence. For this reason, Pink Party 2007 has chosen to support the Breast Cancer Fund, who has adopted the bold mission to eliminate the environmental causes of the disease, including toxic chemicals and radiation. Through public education, policy initiatives, outdoor challenges and other innovative campaigns, the Breast Cancer Fund mobilizes the public to secure the changes needed to stop this devastating epidemic.



Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization

Pink Party 2007 has selected Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization (Y-ME) whose mission is to ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone. They provide such services as a 24 hour National Breast Cancer Hot-line staffed by breast cancer survivors, Survivor Match Programs - pairing survivors with peer counselors who have had the same diagnosis, are the same age or have experienced similar challenges, and Partner Match - Providing support and education to spouses, partners and other loved ones. They also provide wigs and prosthetics free of charge to women with limited resources, breast health information and screening exams to under-served communities and culturally sensitive resources, printed in eight different languages, for those who would like to know more about breast cancer.
