Ahhh, the lovely sight of a backyard fire! A group of Orphans gathered for a little company and fire Saturday night.. burn night . We built a last minute 17 foot effigy. The men wanted it to be a woman so I sacrificed my purple crushed velvet skirt complete with playa dust. We added a broom for a face and hair. A tiara of bottle rockets and topped with a can of bacon grease as the only incendiary fuel. A ringlet of sparkly fireworks lent an air of danger as they careened thru the small crowd.... read more

Still softly dreaming. I am held in the lusciousness that is summer in Michigan. Recent memories of love and lovelies mingle with humid fecundity. The very AIR is green! The berries are overripe, swollen with the rains that welcomed me home to my love and my land. Now it is summer. Sleepy and held close by the seedlings who have grown tall and borne fruit, I am a servant in this season. Picking worms and pruning growth, tying vines and pulling weeds, I ensure a harvest in the weeks to come. ... read more

I had a little fire at my land this weekend. Big wedding, little fire.. little like 30ft flames, hee hee! The bride and groom were gifted a temple with a hidden copper heart. All the guests had a hand in lighting the flame. It was perfect. I am continually amazed at the magic that guides such a gathering of the tribe. Prayers and respect open doors to glorious joy.
