I was born overseas - the eldest of 4 kids - and at the ripe old age of 25 decided to go backpacking in Europe for 6 months (a common rite of passage for todays fortunate youth). And through circumstances unforeseen moved to the lovely San Francisco Bay Areola.

I'm a relatively mellow introvert who's somewhat shy but friendly enough, unless you cut me off in traffic. Then I'll probably just mutter something under my breath and proceed utterly bewildered at how the ignorance and lack of compassion of so few can affect so many. Specially when huge volumes of people migrating through lifes journey are so delicately balanced between order & chaos.

Politically, I think I understand and am fairly tolerant of the needs of the left and right wings. It is a challenge to find a good balance of capitalist & socialist ideals but my basic philosophy is that if you've got food, shelter, & clothes on your back you should help those less fortunate who struggle to make ends meet.

I'm normally always keen satisfy my quest for knowledge - we never stop learning and find human nature both fascinating and incredible. I'm also keen to do some charitable work locally by donating my time and efforts (although my schedule seems to become more chock-a-block all the time.)

I'm a loyal, independent, esoteric, dry-witted, non-superficial, analytical, open-minded, night owl, with a penchant for the random and obscure. I'm trying to overcome a tendency towards understatement. I'm rather visually oriented, consider myself a practical pleasurist, and have been told I'm a dreamer.

I tend to dabble in spoonerist type frivolity like replacing words in names with synonyms, using Black Adder quotes and references, thinking up funny names, and am not too bad at identifying strange noises from distant locations.

When I was younger I wanted to be a rock star, a porn actor, or a spy - then i started towards architecture, but became an engineer. :) I also thought about going into cartography, statistics, environmental science, or becoming a private detective.
