We were drawn together in college by our love of King Crimson and Frank Zappa. Matt was the best coffeehouse guitar partner I've ever had. He's an exceedingly gentle empath and a magician with numbers. I don't know anyone more generous than Matt. He is the only person I know besides me whose departure could turn a nerd and fag party into a sexy makeout party. But those were good stunod. Ah, but Matt has been found by his Venus. What's not to love? The guy wears his appeal on his sleeve. Also, he's a particularly inventive and inspiring musician. Despite his enduring love of the Cure, he continues to be an important influence in my music education.
