I have a problem with personal blogs. Actually, I have several.

1. I am boring. People should not want to read about my life.
2. Blogging takes time, time that I rarely have and shouldn't be using this way.
3. I get soapboxy, especially about politics, if I'm not careful. And I am almost never careful.

On the other hand,

4. I'm not the sort of person to have drama online or off show up in this kind of forum, or, well, at all really.
5. No one is especially likely to see this anyway, so the level of boredom I might or might not inspire is kind of irrelevant.
6. I have always kind of wanted to keep a diary.

Of course, I have a LiveJournal, which is where stuff like this ought to go. But I use LJ more for news than anything else. Maybe this would be different. What the hell. I'll give it a go. Who knows? Maybe something interesting will happen after all...
