Think of the coolest person in the world. Think hard and
consider all the options. The person I think of first is my father.
I consider my father many things and often elevate him to a god like
status. He is wise, strong, determined, a jack of all trades and
extremely experienced.
For me, my father is the mortar I use to piece together the
bricks of my life. He has taught me more than I could ever retell
and still has more to teach me. His iron will combined with
steadfast determination has literally saved my life more times than
I care to say. Without his guidance I wouldn’t be here to write this
essay.
His wisdom is ever vigilant and ever present. There is not one
thing I have seen thus far that he has been wrong about. He welcomes
the challenge of right or wrong, which is party why no one can
disprove his wisdom. This, combined with his continually growing
power and intelligence, gives him his exalted stance in my life.
His experience stretches farther than anyone else’s, that I know
of. From what I have seen he has done many successful things in his
life. There isn’t a single thing that I have known him completely u
nable to do. Through all this, though, he walks humbly, not a braggi
ng word on his tongue. The things he has made with his hands are amo
ng the most amazing things I have ever seen.
I could write about my father until the paper available to me is
exhausted and still have more to say. However, for your sake and
mine, I will simply explain that my dad is no-thing and everything
all at once. I consider him my mentor because of all the experience,
skill and wisdom he holds.

He's as big an impact on my world as anyone ever. Sees the shadow and cleaves it like a warrior.
