Nik's stunningly intelligent, thoughtful, spiritual, open minded, and unbelievably patient. He's my best friend. Talking to Nik is like a breath of fresh air; he says what he means and means what he says. You'll always know where you stand with Nik, for he's wonderfully honest. None of that tact for him, nosiree! :D Seriously, though... talk to this man. He's got a vast wealth of knowledge he doesn't flaunt and is willing to share, a caring and compassionate ear, an encouraging word for anyone, and a wonderfully twisted sense of humor.

And he fills out a skirt like nobody's business.

I've known Nik for the past 28 years. I loved him from the moment I first saw him, and have come to also respect him greatly. He has one of the quickest most agile minds it has ever been my privilege to encounter. He is curious, logical, methodical, and consistent. He possesses that enviable balance between detail-oriented and gestalt-aware, seeing the forest *AND* the trees. He is also gentle and kind, open-minded and affectionate, quiet, calm, and capable of great depth. He is a fine writer, perceptive and incisive. He is also possibly the least materialistic person on the planet. If he ever chooses to use his amazing powers for something other than RPGs :->, he will be a formidable power for good in this world. I'm proud to be his Mom.

Nik is great guy (even for a Californian). I must say it is an honor to know him and I'm pleased to call him "friend".
