Thanks to a Burner we met on tribe, a beautiful baby grand piano came into our life for free. Pretty nice!
yesterday Cyndi tried to kill herself. While I was at work and Eddie was at Tae Kwon Do, she prepared a warm bath with candles and three sharp knives then she took 25 sleeping pills. But she was asleep in her studio before she got into the bath. We found her 5 hours later barely responsive but definitely breathing. Paramedics took her to the ER where she is in stable condition. I assume she will be admitted to a psych hospital maybe today. We are new to the burner community and there's nothin...

It's been two weeks now since she killed herself. Cyndi's mom took her life with a pistol. The pain from repeated bone surgeries was too great and there was no sign it was going to get any better. When she broke her hip just before Christmas, it was the final blow. First we were reeling from the shock and then the grieving. She was only 68. We were going to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend; instead it will be her memorial. What do I remember?

I'm filled with anticipation as I am about to do something I've never done -- skydive while on a certain very potent hallucinogen. Who knows why I have to combine them but here we go! It's starting to kick in and the plane is in midair, I can't wait -- but I awaken before I get out of the plane. The whole next day I'm disappointed -- I know I'd never do this in real life. One or the other, maybe, but not at the same time!
