"Amazing Alternative Organic Elven Bling"
January 17, 2007
I am on the total opposite side when it comes to Nates up bringing versus my up bringing. I was born the youngest in my family as Nate was born the oldest in his family. I wasn’t used to having a younger sibling to pick on, I mean teach. But on the flip side Nate does have that experience. Now as far as me having someone to look up to while growing up I was fortunate to have two older brothers. But in this case Nate doesn’t. Well by now you get the picture.
So when Nate and I met, thru his wonderful mom while working at an awesome Organic Farm but that’s a whole other story, he had just got back from Hawaii. So already I knew we had a lot in common. The Hawaiian way has been my way since my birth but from a transplanted point of view. To make a long part of the story short, we ended up working together to create our very first fire performing group, Earth DescenDance.
Nate may be younger than I am but he surely has a lot of ideas that I wouldn’t have even thought of. Some of his ideas we would mention and I would already have had that in my head as if he read my mind. In many ways he has helped me better understand just what the hell I’m doing. Which brings me to the point; like I am to him he has also been to me. Nate has been that brother that shares the same values in life as I do. I pick on him and give him tons of shit but it’s all because if it wasn’t me doing so, someone else will. Why not be a friend, or in our world, a brother? I wouldn’t do what I do to Nate if I thought that my methods wouldn’t work. Oh yeah my brothers gave me a whole bunch of shit growing up. But I also learned what not to do from them. So as long as Nate hangs around me and my family long enough he should be able to innovate what I have projected ten fold. I believe he will too.
So my next advice to Nate would be to make yourself happy before you can make others happy, because if you’re not happy then that negative energy will only reflect onto others around you. Pick your battles and conquer them one by one.
Then my next advice would be to comb your hair. Oh wait my brothers told me that and I didn’t listen. So it goes to show that not all advice works for everyone but hey its worth a try.
Good luck bruddah! Make yourself proud and the rest will follow.
