Breakup after 3+ years

<div>Claire and I have split up. She will be moving out soon, and I may be looking for a new place myself. This is not easy on either of us, and if I hear anyone badmouth her, I will respond in a very unkind fashion. The main reason for the breakup is the issue of having children and if I want them like she does. Neither of us is right or wrong, it just is.

Let me make it VERY clear that this is VERY painful to both of us. I do not think either of us wants to hear the other badmouthed. We still love each other very much, we just seem to be moving in directions that are not parallel.

*I* will not rule out trying to be with her in the future. I cannot speak for her.

Thank you for your time.</div>

<div>I hate asking...

TheClaire totaled her car last week, and she will NOT be getting anything from the insurance to get another car.

We have a GREAT lead on a car, but I do not have the 1600 available right this second to buy if for her.

So... Now I'm calling out for a little help, a short term loan or something...

UGH.</div>

Have an issue with me?

<div>It has recently come to my attention that some people may have some issue with me, may be upset with me for some reason, or something along similar lines.

If you have an issue with me, please bring it up to me. I will try to work out whatever issue you may have with me, and if we can't work it out at least we can be adults and acknowledge that we tried to work it out to no avail and be justified in the ill feelings you might harbor.

This message brought to you by learning of people who have issues but have not told them to ME, but to many others and have kept a nice face to me.</div>

<div>ATTENTION.

We are screwed right now financially. Claire will be out of work a few days due to an injury, I have been out of work repeatedly due to family/health issues. So...

we have 11 in my account, which I have to put in my gas tank when I leave in a few moments. Claire is slightly overdrawn after a 200 deposit. Yey overdraft fees and being nice and not getting the full paycheck on time. *sigh*

I have 5 swords. I want to keep one. So the other 4 are up for sale, right now. Including the one I had bought for Claire to teach her. I am upset about that, but have no other choice.

&amp;lt;strike> The Atar, a $800 piece when new, when returned from repairs had some rust on it, which I haven't removed yet. I gift from someone I value greatly and hate to part with. $350 - no sheath due to blade being returned from repairs without sheath - You're never gonna see a deal like this again. &amp;lt;/strike>

I have a buyer for this, one who will allow me to buy it back when I can, which is really optimum for this one. He is on here, and a lifesaver.

2 silver hilted rapiers. - $100 each.

1 black Hilted rapier - $100

My phone won't be turned off if I get in the payment tomorrow, so if you want these and can come to me or get me the money soon, please let me know.

This is the only thing we have that is worth selling. Please contact me soon and help us out.

Hey, Mike... Guitar Hero II

<div> "I watch Guitar Hero a little too closely, so my E3 Guitar Hero II experience essentially amounted to a verification of everything I knew already, and as a result I didn't know exactly what to relate. This is why I was glad to have a civilian along for this playthrough, a man for whom our primary means of interaction months on end was a back to back twin guitar assault.

I will tell you things that made him freak out:

a) User selectable difficulty. This is a nice feature, to be sure, and very welcome - but for people who are still playing the original, the lack of user selectable difficulty is a huge stumbling block for Guitar Hero in a social atmosphere. I've been playing it since E3 of last year, I need hard or expert play to even feel it. At the same time, you want to encourage those people who are standing in the doorway because "they don't really like videogames," but for some reason they can't seem to tear their eyes away from this videogame. Guitar Hero breaks those people down and folds them back up, and letting people choose how they want to play just makes it easier.

b) Co-operative mode. We play the battle mode as co-op in GH1, but it's not, and when you play this mode in GH2 you'll see what a gulf there is between them. Not only are you both playing the whole time, a significant departure from the trade-off mechanism in the last one, you each have your own unique part. What part that is depends on the song, and talking with the producer it became clear that whichever part would provide better gameplay takes the fore. So on Kiss' Strutter, you're playing lead and your friend is playing rhythm. In Primus' John The Fisherman, the bass is arguably the entire point, and so it takes the stage. Trading (ahem) "licks" in Texas Flood always had an amazing feel before, but having someone keep the song moving while you tear into a solo (or vice versa) simply trumps it. Add to this that you must both be on your game to maintain your multiplier, and must tilt simultaneously to engage Star Power and you have the raw materials for many evenings shot through with savage rock.

He also liked c) Three Button Chords, but I don't know if that needs a whole thing. "

In todays episode Robert rushes Claire to the hospital...

<div>otitis media with perforation

What does that mean?

Claire went into the Dr. on Wed complaining about sudden ear pain together with her cold. She thought that she might have gotten an ear infection. At that time the Dr. said it was just pressure from the sinuses and the cold and there was nothing going on with her ear.

Today Claire had been experiencing pain in the ear again. It got so bad that when I got home a little while after her from faire she was crying in my bed from the pain. Many of you might not know, or might have some different idea about Claire, but she is TOUGH. She doesn't cry about small discomforts. It has to be a LOT of pain to reduce her to tears. I was obviously upset and asked if I could run her a bath. She wanted a shower. No problem.

During the shower she asked if I could change it into a bath (more challenging where I live, there is no plug). I got the cover from my roomates bathtub (ok nasagrl handed it to me) and took it back in. Claire was definitely in more pain. She turned her head so the bad ear was downward for a moment and she said something to the effect that something shifted, and it felt somewhat better. Harder to hear but...

Then she turned. The ear then faced me. There was blood coming from her ear.

After the initial moment of shock I told her to get out of the shower, that I was taking her to the emergency room. She looked puzzled for a moment, then realized and asked if her ear was bleeding. I was honest and told her yes. I quickly gathered some clothes for her to wear, got the info for the closest urgent care Kaiser and we were out the door.

Apparently the ear infection in the middle ear that the first Dr. missed gathered up enough fluid to perforate her tympanic membrane (ear drum). Yes this means a temporary reduction in her auditory ability.

The Dr. was pretty nice, even let me take a look at her normal ear and her damaged one through the instrument. Kinda odd really. There however were OBVIOUS signs of an ear infection, at least to me. But that might have just been the rupture and drainage.

Most eardrum perforations heal spontaneously within weeks after rupture, although some may take up to several months. During the healing process the ear must be protected from water and trauma. Those eardrum perforations which do not heal on their own may require surgery.

Claire's stepfather works in an Ear, Nose and Throat unit at Kaiser doing auditory tests and such. I'm sure she will be well cared for and be fine.

But let me tell you, for one moment there, or for about 2 hours there, I wanted to go back to the first Dr. and rip off his ears.</div>
