about me
"Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness - and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we're being brainwashed to believe... Another world is possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing." - Arundhati Roy

My Blog

Yes, those were the openning words in the message found early morning on the last 7th day of the ride, in an "egg" left as gift for every single 2, 300 bicyclist by The Chicken Lady (one of our most wonderful and inspirational riders, dressed as a chicken).

Here is the message: "To leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition. To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.- R.W. Emerson You've done an "egg"celent job. Applaud yourself!!! You have succeeded!!! The Chicken Lady!"

I wish to extend that gratitude of excellent job and success to all of you for helping us after 7 days and 545 miles to leave the world a bit better...through your support and inspirations!

Together, all of us have raised 11 million dollars to helps to fight HIV/AIDS through education and prevention of millions of others, and assistance to those who are touched by the tragedy and cannot affort treatment and care! And as Lori Jean, another inspirational cyclist, says the fight will continue till the day when HIV/AIDS will be juts ... a memory.

I am speechless of the experience we've had - yes, another world is indeed possible!

Much love from me and Ran,

Enver

Dear Friends,

I did it last year and I am doing this important ride again this year ...

because the greatest health risk facing people today is their lack of information about the risks of contracting HIV/AIDS.. and we can inform and prevent millions from this tragedy here and abroad

because globally, there are almost 40 million people living with HIV/AIDS, more than 2 million are children... and we cannot allow this to continue

because many do not have health insurance and many being discriminated for their HIV/AIDS status... and our inspiration and support brings hope and help

because I believe in the power of our community in making our world a better place

because I know simple act of human kindness heals all of us

because love is stronger than hate

because another world is possible and she is on her way!

That's why, from June 3-9, 2007, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Please visit: www.aidslifecycle.org/5764

Thank you!
Peace and Love,
Enver

My Testimonials

June 20, 2005
i miss enver now that he's off pursuing the best thing in life and away from the bay area; he brings balance to my life as well as from time to time in the right kind of way he catches me off guard, makes me smile and question myself. i love watching him dance, and he's always dancing even when he's not performing. i also am in love with Sugar, his dog, and i miss her smile and spirit terribly. oh and if anyone wants to live with him: he's a fantastic housemate.

Besides being sexy (just look at him!), Enver is an amazingly sweet person, an awsome dancer, and a blessing to be around. There is never a dull moment around Enver: he keeps me laughing. If he would let me, I'd fall in love with Enver.

Enver is amazing and I love to be around his hottie energy. It gives me a boost whenever I need it. If you ever want to get kicked off a dancing platform with someone...Enver is your man. Too fun. He also uses all his energy to bring new light to spirituality...which is always needed. Enver also wears his heart on his sleeve...that is, when he chooses to wear clothes! My theological education would be lacking if I didn't have a chance to make friends with this awesome light-being. Smooches!
