My Testimonials

February 20, 2005
So many journey's we have taken, both across physical oceans, and also inside the great mysteries of the soul. Tamara knows me better than I do, and we have shared so many of the great dances of this life. I was glad to to have you by my side as we sang with the Celtic band in the Captains quarters aboard the Acadia in Halifax, and when we thought we were getting jumped by bandits in the middle of the Baja desert night, and also watching the stunning poverty roll by our train window in China, and feeling the lonely, sweetly silent wind against our faces as we stood on the crumbling Great Wall on a winters day.

Thank you for our connection, one I will always honour with every breath and footprint on this sacred journey through life.

My Blog

shortly after we connected, we made a choice

and although now still
i stand behind the whys
there are still lip licking
deep purring sighs
that cause me to question
if i should have dived in completely with you

I know that our choice means
that we are still on the safer side
of love
instead of longing
of friendship
instead of more
of " I'll stand by you regardless
of where or who you ultimately choose to play out your future with
instead of " I don't know how to let you go... read more

How do you tell a story
that is really a circle

just how do you tell her?
how do you ground her
so she can grow tall and straight
when her true form
revolves you?

I know that she is your life
she winds you up
and expresses you
allows you to be understood
through her morals

at times you know
where to start
what to say
to pass on her teaching

but how do you honestly
when you know
her ending
is contingent
on her weavings
which tangent
from her core
as a web?

i am so enthralled with how you talk about
connecting with your creative spirit
'do or die"
the way i talk about karma,
' not much choice, must be loving'
the instantaneousness about it all
we both connect on

i think we are actually speaking about the same thing

love

and i am so excited to get to know you!

even when you are absolutly, fromt he bottom of y our heart sure, that something isn't right, why does it still hurt so much to leave it?

I long to understand this more:
how the one thing we said that we both wanted
was the one thing we both smashed
the one thing that while we kept on saying it to each other
was the one thing that we couldn't hear each other really say

something about glass balls dropping
something about moments of rawness
something about then shelving it
for therapy sessions
in the future
away from
the cherry blossom cemetery
that we lie down in

something about
not noticing the red flags

Poets in My Heart

Favorite Rumi Poem right now

Leave bitterness and acid
go forth to sweetness now!
For even brine produces
a thousand kinds of fruit.
It is the Sun of Tabriz
that does such wonderous work,
For ev'ry tree gains beauty
when touched by the sun.

Favorite Shakespearean Sonnet Right Now

CXVI

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments, Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove
O no; it is an even fixed mark,
Thatlooks on tempests, and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wondering bark
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come
Love alters not with his breif hours and weeks
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error, and upon me proved
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
